Honest opinion

One of my biggest complaints about this game is the bots. You end up killing more bots than you do real players. There is really no skill in shooting, hold the trigger down and spray with very little penalty. The game play is really solid and the Titans
are a lot of fun, but I am going to wait and see what other game modes they offer before buying. I am not a big TDM fan and I am about sick of the domination game modes/conquest which is whats in the beta. I hope they have a lot of game modes and guns to choose
from that will be the selling point for me.

 

I played the beta today and for the first hour it was a blast, the parkour is a cool addition and the Titans are neat. But after an hour it gets boring. It's like COD, Mirrors Edge and Mech Warrior had a baby. Unless they have some new modes that are completely
different than any other games it's just the same old stuff. I wanted to really like this game but there just isn't enough new gameplay features to make it a absolute must buy.

 

The game is too kiddish for me. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT A COD KILLER! I got bored with the noob bots for NOOBS with no skills who need help and something to kill because they have no adaptive skill, thus making the game friendly and repeat user ish for those
less skilled. C'mon man!

The bots get in the way and add nothing but a distraction which gives your location away and takes your attention from the human players once again while WHILE GIVING your position AWAY!

Not exciting and depending on the online components of which it only has, this game can get boring fast. Less gamers online means relying on bot play. I see titan vs titan getting the most users until that gets boring. Any map pack would be stupid because
you are basically on roofs all the time and as a titan whats the use for any buildings and such. Weapon dlc looks like a definite but IMO no thanks because I won't be playing. If I was 8 I would be amazed!

The somewhat chaotic atmosphere makes me feel like I do not matter and am being thrown into a pit of mindless shooting and dying mixed in with transformers, ooops I mean titans. Oh yeah I thought a titan was more of a reward or kill streak but everyone gets
one two minutes or so into a game and there after. Yeah what's the use of that when earning one is much rewarding.

Anyone ever play Guerillas Red Faction? Zampella is his name and his other bud you guys have dropped the ball and have brought no innovation to a dying market when it comes to fresh new ideas in game play and player mechanic. This is not what you guys do
and you know it.

Activision really cut your man bags when you guys agreed on the monies owed to you after the bad break up. I guess you guys had to take a loss somewhere. Now sign the dotted line please... ouch.

 

The only thing in your whole argument that holds any merit in my opinion is the bot thing as it does take away from the game and opens up countless ways to exploit the scoring system. Other than that it just sounds like you are stuck on the whole COD thing
and refuse to accept change.

 

My friends and I thought it got boring after a few hours and were back on BF. Most of my friends have cancelled their pre-orders. We're really disappointed that we don't love it as we were really looking forward to it. Cod/BF/Halo killer this is not.

 

And with this in mind you can use this to your advantage by hacking Spectres to fight for you. You can actually use this tactically.

The only thing I have against bots is the AI difficulty needs to be increased.

Use them as cover by dashing behind them, seems they are not destructible. Standing out in the open 24/7 is the quickest way to get your Titan destroyed.

Minus the Titans I feel the same way playing Call of Duty. I think I've died more times from being shot in the back when I respawn than I have kills. There's nothing quite more chaotic than Call of Duty team deathmatch.

You reduce the time it takes to call in a Titan by killing. Your rewards come in the form of Burn Cards, ordinance, tactical abilities, mods and attachements.

Because Call of Duty brings something totally new and innovative every year, right?

 

After playing 8 games and this coming from a gamer who likes COD & BF4, I feel both are in trouble if they keeps maps & new game types with DLC & Titans this game is fun and you must use a strategy. If MS has any common sense they would purchase the company
and keep this a a MS exclusive when Titanfall 2 comes out just my two sense

 

After playing it for a good while I feel I know can judge it. There are things I really like about the game like the pace of it and how smooth the wall running and jumping is. It is very addictive and I think the final product is going to be brilliant. One
thing that annoys me is I find that the bots are easy to find compared to pilots. I would like to be able to face more pilots rather than getting loads of bot kills. Will I pick it up on launch still kind of unsure. Normally I like playing online games and
completing the single player when I get annoyed with online. I am thinking I might get bored very quick.

 

It's definitely a day one purchase for me. Played the beta for many hours this weekend and had a blast!! Really looking forward to the full game with more games modes, weapons, etc...

 

I could not stop playing. And despite it being just a small taste of the game, I could not get bored. Played BF3 or COD ghost, I'm bored after 3 matches.

 

I may DL it today. I havent played it yet, but everyone is going to have "their" opinions.

 

Titanfall is going to a huge game the first year. That isn't going to make it a great game just because of sales. I played for 5 hours over the weekend, max leveled in 4, and leveled up the 40mm cannon to burst fire for a while.

I think the beta is limiting to the loadouts you can chose and you can only use one type of titan. When more are introduced, I think it will change the gameplay significantly. That said, I still don't think I will buy it.

Titanfall plays very much like Halo. It has COD controls almost exactly, but it is designed with a Halo-ish style of play. The titans have some strategy in using them effectively but it is hit or miss as to whether or not it actually works. I didn't feel
I got much better at surviving longer in one over time. Some games I killed 6 titans and others I killed 0 in the last titan standing. It was just hit or miss.

The pilot mode seems like get to the highest point possible and just shoot everything below you because people don't expect you to be up there and you are looking at titans to fight and not up in the sky or hanging on a cliff. Your life span is basically
that of a core mode Ghosts player for health and you are playing against 6 other people who shoot well, and 12 grunts or specters that will kill you one out of 30 times, sort of like a training bot on easy in Cod.

There is just so much stuff going on on screen that it is hard to follow it all. There is also no real tide that turns one way or another. You never know if you are losing or winning unless you glance at the score below. It just says defeated or winner and
then you go again. I was just not overwhelmed and wanting more. Usually a new game I am playing until 2 in the morning and lose track of time. This game I shut it off at 11 after looking at the clock at 9:30, 10:30, an then 11. It just didn't hold the interest.
Then again I never liked Halo.

So there you go. Honest opinion. My honest opinion. And if you agree with it then great. If you don't, well that's ok too, but that is how I saw it.

 

The Beta was pretty cool. Its one of the better EA games that I have played. It does get kind of boring after a while but you have to consider that was with only two maps and three game types. I did like the fact that everyone gets the chance to have a titan,
but can have it destroyed as easily from not knowing how to use it. One thing that really turned me off from the game was the lack of a campaign. Yeah they said the multiplayer will tell the story line and you get 14 maps on launch day, but that doesn't make
up the difference. Play it yourself and see what you think, you have to make the final decision.

 

Yea I like the game, may think of buyin it. Some of the pilot gamepaly is fun, as for titans... to be frank it's boring as hell, main gun - rockets - shield over and over, camp or be killled. Disappointed overall but could still be a decent game.

 

i've been playing for a few days, i think it will still take some time for the excitement to wear off, but i think so, when i played CoD, i'd spend the whole match watching how many kills we had and the other team or watching the counter on DOM, but when
i'm playing Titanfall i hardly ever look, the game is just fun and i get so lost in the gameplay that a few times i completely missed getting on the drop ship because i don't even realize the game is over.
