    Homescreen - Apps and Games do not open when pressing A


    Everytime I go to the homescreen (dashboard), I have trouble getting back into a game or an app. I have to repeatedly hit A on the controlled and the game/app will eventually open after about 10-15 seconds. I thought I may have too many things pinned to
    the dashboard, so when I tried to remove them the same thing happened when I tried to Unpin by clicking A on the controller (of course, I already clicked start when over the app). I have no trouble navigating to different apps on the homescreen, I just can't
    open them. I've tried a hard reboot multiple times with no luck. It's becoming increasingly frustrating. Any suggestions?

    OK after pressing the Xbox button to bring the guide up and without pressing any other button on the controller try pressing the A button twice and the console should then return to the homescreen. If the console does return to the homescreen then the console
    is behaving how it should.

    Pop up side bar not working

    Hi, im having an issue with my side bar/pop up bar to the left not popping up when pressing the xbox home button. Therefore i cant go back to my homescreen from games, netflix etc without resetting the xbox. How do i get this back?

    Idk I'm having the same problem and it does it with all 4 controllers which 2 are brand new. I wish they would even acknowledge that we are having this problem but hey I just bout 2 brand new controllers so I don't think Microsoft has a problem with that

    ...which is why it's a good idea to make sure you close down your games and apps when you're done with them. To do that, simply go to the homescreen and highlight the game or app tile you wish to close. Once you've done that, you can press menu, scroll to
    "quit" and select it. Doing this will close down the game or app for good so it won't run in the background or cause slow down later. ;)

    After buying you probably need to fully exit the game by pressing the home button, then when on homescreen press the menu aka start button the select quit.
