Honestly probably not going buy this game, but just wanted to chime in that there is nothing wrong with the Req pack system in Halo. It's the most fairest system I've seen. And it basically only affects the Warzone mode which kinda is all new anyway. The
oldschool modes which lost are interested in are not affected by them at all. Continue on.

Oh I see but are those packs pay to win?

    [/quote]

You start the game with the Auto Rifle and Pistol.

If you want a better weapon you'll have to pick it up off the corpse of an enemy.

So because it throws A.I. enemies you can sometimes pick up some of their weapons but the best ones will be the ones you've picked up from someone who got it through a Requisition Pack and dropped it when they died.

You have a couple of Req Packs yourself to start with and when you complete a game you are rewarded with points that let you purchase another Req Pack.

The developer boasts that the right Req Pack can completely change the flow of combat meaning that they are designed to unbalance the game.

So they are most certainly Pay To Win and add to the sensory element to the game by bringing in a stench that doesn't smell like roses.

It would seem so. But since you can easily earn these thing in the game it takes the pay part out of it. I have never paid for any and I have earned some nice stuff. I mostly run the assault rifle and according to the stats 70% of my kills come from standard
weapons. K/D is 1.4 and win percentage is 52%. My wife did play some, about 6-7 matches, and never won and generally is terrible (k/d on previous halo games of about .3-.4) at these games so things are down a little from where they would be. Again I have
never paid for any. So I do not feel they are pay to win so much.

It just seems they balanced it out well. I have earned a bunch of req. points but rarely spend them. Have opened some req. packs I earned but have not really used much besides a ghost or mongoose to get around faster.

They are not pay to win as even the guy who doesn't spend cash can earn points in any other game mode to buy those same req packs with in game credit.

After watching the single player video I realised something, I didn't know there were so many shades of grey.

I mean a few years ago it seemed every game that got released used brown, brown walls, brown floors etc. but this takes dull and drab to the next level, everything is grey, grey walls, grey floors.

What Guerrero and Rippen is true.

You accumulate points each match and when you have enough you can buy some more requ packs.

But there's a lot of fodder in there and those who pay can guarantee they will get better content from a pack.

So yes it is Pay to Win and trying to stand up for it is a little daft.

You can win without these packs. Especially if everyone else on your Team has bought them.

Those who pay are guaranteed the same RNG as those that don't.
