Home Xbox Switches not consistent, frustrating situation

I am trying to set my account's home Xbox onto my friend's Xbox so that she can play all the games that I have, but when she went to go make my account's home Xbox onto hers, it said it had 0/5 switches left. When I went to the option on my Xbox it says 5/5 switches left. The thing is, I never used the home Xbox switch feature ONCE this year, so I'm confused as to why hers says 0/5 switches remaining and mine says 5/5 switches remaining.

After I removed my account from my own Xbox she was able to do the switch so for anyone that has the same problem

I’m having the same problem. I got it working for a bit, but then it suddenly stopped. I removed it as my home xbox and made it my home xbox again (using an extra one of my switches) and it still doesnt work consistently

Yes it doesn't give you another switch it just let's you sign in online to play you games

If you've run out of switches, all you can do is wait for the limit to reset on its own. You should also change your account password and keep your console from auto-signing in so your brother can't use your account to change the Home setting anymore.
