Not true.The rules changed last year when they changed the amount of times you can change your home console from 3 times to 5 times per year.

Support will not reset the counter or give you one more reset just because you have used up your 5 times per 12 months.

You have been told this already.

Tell ya what, I've given you specifics on this. You're welcome to state what you've been stating. I know for a fact that it can be done because I was doing it.

You're welcome to contact Xbox Support and just ask if they're able to do the Home Console Reset.

The account gets 5 home console uses. Once those 5 uses are up, the support agent can check the account and if the Home Console Reset is available for the account, the support agent can reset that count and the customer will get 5 more uses.

Once that reset has been done, the account won't have another reset available for a year.

No special permission is needed. The support agent can do this for the customer only if the reset hasn't been done already.

Since the amount of times you can change your home console was increased from 3 to 5 times per 12 months support will not give you a one time reset unless you have a new console that is registered or your console was replaced due to being sent in for repair.

As mentioned,you would not get that message unless you have reached your 5 times limit so you will have to wait until the 12 months is up from the first time you changed it.

When you've reached the limit of 5, you can contact Xbox Support and they can check your account and see if you have on option for a 1 time reset.

If the one time reset has been used then you'll have to wait a year from whenever the last reset was done.

I know the max is 5 a year. So it shouldn't be saying that unless you already changed it.
