Home Xbox Counter Issue

Does anyone have the issue where their Xbox is randomly kicking them off their "Home Xbox" and therefore using one of the resets every time that you have to then have to set it back up to allow family members that use the Xbox to access the content?

Microsoft/Xbox now say that they can no longer manually reset these and you are therefore stuck until the set date that appears once you have switched your Home Xbox 5 times. I find this hard to believe that Microsoft/Xbox cannot manually change this within
their system. What I do think is that they are now choosing not to do so and therefore ensuring gamers are then stuck until said date.

If this isn't a sure fire way to put off Xbox gamers from sticking with Microsoft then I don't know what is, as I've always preferred Xbox to PlayStation, but this is seriously putting me off any further investment in Microsoft products in the future as
they should be helping their user base not hindering them, especially when this is happening through no fault of their own.

I know there was videos doing the rounds last year that allowed folk to manually reset their Xbox Home Counter, but since the update in November 2018 this is no longer able to be done.

Microsoft need to sort this out or they'll end up losing quite a substantial fan base.

The problem is this the Home sharing was never meant to be used where you give your sign in information to a friend down the road it was meant so that you can share your games within your own household and not have to purchase the games multiple times.

Keep in mind that giving your account information to other people like this is against the MS terms of use and could get your account permanently banned.

At one point in time the policy was that customer support was allowed to reset your home xbox counter and it used to be that you could only change your home xbox 3 times in a year and support could then reset it one time for you for a total of 6 times in
a year.

I can only assume that people were abusing the system or support honestly did not look close at the account and make sure that it had not already been done previously.

It used to be that support could issue refunds also but I think that was abused also so they put the new system into place.

I had something weird with my home xbox a couple weeks ago and I had to reset it as my home again. It did cost me one as well.

I can understand why the change limit is there as it can be abused easily. Im happy that we have an option to share, its better then nothing.

And no asking for a reset just so you can share content with others isn't a valid reason

It is meant for personal or family use
