Home Xbox and Gold sharing, not working properly on the new Xbox (XB1s)

I have had the original Xbox at home since release, it has been set as the home xbox since day one. With gold sharing everything worked great. My son could play any game I purchased while using his own Xbox Live account on that same xbox.

Eventually I picked up an X1s and had it in my office as a second xbox so we could play certain games together, with the original XB1 being the Home still.

Recently I moved the X1s to our a new entertainment area we set up, and I changed it to be the Home Xbox, the problem is that it does not work correctly, or should I say does not work the same as the Original did when it was the home.

When my son signs in, he cannot launch any of the games purchased on my account unless my account is logged in. Previously with the original X1 when it was the Home xbox, my account did not have to be always logged in, I just has to be on there.

Is this a change with the newer xbox's? Did gold and game sharing change or is there another setting I could be missing?

Xbox gold stopped sharing

Home Xbox set and was sharing Xbox gold with my son yesterday it stopped working and keeps telling him to buy Xbox gold even though I have an active membership.

 

Upgrading to a family pass.

You don't it has been canceled since sept

Only sharing plan is the new xbox one home gold plan which allows all profiles on the home console to have gold

And only works on the xbox one

It is absolutely set as the home Xbox. I even removed it as the home xbox and re-added it getting the message that I had 4 moves left. If I am logged in to that Xbox he can play the games I purchased with my live account. However if he logs in on his own
with out my account being logged in, then he gets a message to get Gold to play online. The original xbox was set to log in with his profile automatically and he could play all the content with out my profile having to be logged in.
