Home share fix online error.

Please try the steps below.

1.Press the power button to turn off your Xbox Series X|S.

2.Unplug the power cord from the console.

3.Leave the console unplugged for two minutes.

4.Plug the console back in and turn it on.

After you've completed the steps above, try logging in again.

Log in to your account on your console.

• Go to Settings > General > Personalization > My Home Xbox > Make this my Home Xbox.

Thanks but does this mean they will be able to play each other online if only one person owns the game

They can still both play online with the same game for as long as the home Xbox is being set correctly. The owner does not have to log in to the console anymore if it has already been set up as home for sharing.

This normally happens when the home Xbox association has not been correctly set up.

To make sure that you can share your games, you need to be logged in to the account that has the game on that specific Xbox where you want to share it, then set it up as home Xbox. Do not set it up again on another console as this will be removed. Once done setting up the home Xbox, just log in to the other account and you can play the same games that the owner has being set up as home.
