Home Screen

Yesterday, I changed from a Netgear 7550 DSL Modem (AT&T) to a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 ADSL/VDSL modem/router (D7000?). No major setup issues and everything seemed to be connecting to the network rather flawlessly. However, when I connected my X1 to the
network, it would go to home screen, sign me in, but would not show any online ads that normally appear on the home screen. I would then go to settings and test the connection, and get the "It's all good. Your system is connected to the internet." screen.
This was not something that I had trouble with using the old modem. Does anyone have any ideas on what happened/is happening with the home screen?

Dear Microsoft,

Your ads are a waste of space and only serve to frustrate. Put my games on the the home screen. I can't believe I have to say that. Figure it out.

Try logging out of your profile and logging back in and see if that helps. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

Could always try to clean the System Cache, wether that will help or not is the question.

Or as Genesis said, you could try logginng in and out again.

Or possibily removing just the account profile and redownloading it.

 

I get this all the time, just hold LT+RT and press Y to force refresh the home screen, might take a few tries but it always sorts it out for me.

 

How are you connecting to this new router? Wireless? Wired?

I find it hard to believe it connected right away after just switching routers like that.

The old router didn't have a certain IP assigned to your Xbox?

 

check your download and upload speeds. if its below 4mb/sec download speed, that isnt good. check packet loss too and ping. also check xbox live status on this site too sometimes microsoft servers do play up.
