Home Screen

Hello,

Every time I press the home button on my Xbox One S controller, the home screen does not show up. It makes the home screen sound but does not show up. This means that once I enter a game, I cannot exit it.

Dear Microsoft,

Your ads are a waste of space and only serve to frustrate. Put my games on the the home screen. I can't believe I have to say that. Figure it out.

I get this all the time, just hold LT+RT and press Y to force refresh the home screen, might take a few tries but it always sorts it out for me.

 

i am having the same issue how did you resolve it????

i basically tried telling tech support and they were very patronizing and when i only wanted to know if there was a fix. tried telling me my xbox was broke

 

i started having this issue last night. i can get places using cortana, but the home screen does not show up and the side menu does not show when pressing the home button on my controller. i hear the sound, but my screen dimming is all that happens. my
xbox one is original so it could be going out and this is the first issue ive had with it.

 

I have the same problem my Xbox S controller will not let me sign in when I press home button, can sign in via iPhone and laptop but not remote.

 

I had the same problem.... I I plugged my Xbox from the back of the box for 2 mins.... plugged it back in and I’m in back in business.... I was starting to get angry!!!

Can confirm. Unplugging and replugging worked for me too.

 

Also confirmed. Unplugging works.

 

I was having this problem, but instead of unplugging it I went into the settings under power and startup screen and then selected turn off or restart and then full shutdown, I left it off for a minute or two and fixed the problem

 

I did a full shutdown gave it a few minutes and restarted it. It let me access the home menu after that. I guess turning it off and back on again really does work.
