Home screen wallpaper

Hi, i am new to xbox, so sorry in advance for probs dumb question.

Q. Do microsoft auto change the landing page wallpaper?

mine changed itself today to an enlarged image of a black console in the background but there was no update and i didnt cahnge it. What was really strange is before that it was an image from one of my games for like 5 mins and now i have this one, seems like
someone or something is effecting my system.

im only 2 days into using xbox so perhaps its normal but woild appreciate any feedbavk please.

Im pretty sure if you don't have a wallpaper set, it just cycles through based on activity like the most recent game you just played, the most recent achievement you have just unlocked, or as you mentioned a console in the background that could be the
new Series X. I am only guessing since Ive manually changed my wallpaper. Fun Fact: when you view achievements, they come with their own unique wallpaper that you can set as the default home wallpaper or you can upload your own through your profile.

Hiya!!

Your background wallpaper will periodically change on your XBOX but you can change it by using one of the XBOX apps to change the wallpaper to something else..

The same has happened to us. Since the latest update we get the home screen select fortnight, get a wallpaper then instead of opening it reverts to the home screen. We've tried restarting, resetting removing the last save but to no avail. Any ideas?
