Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to handle problems with your console starting up. I can certainly see how this kind of thing could throw anyone for a loop but hopefully we can help. If you can, I would follow the steps to get your
console
reset to factory defaults.

If you cannot even navigate to the settings required to do so, then instead try the steps outlined in Troubleshoot
startup errors on Xbox One.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

I'm trying the USB reset with no luck. I hear the double beeps I hold the buttons down for what it says and no reset instructions come up when the system is turned on.

Thanks! duh! keep forgetting about the controller settings and home buttons. Maybe you can also tell me how to switch control/cursor from the snapped screen to the main screen without returning to the home screen? Sorry to ask all these dumb questions, it's
just I don't see it in any of the learning apps or documentation.

Please try and carry out a hard reset of the console and hopefully that will help the performance a bit.

To hard reset the console please highlight settings in the guide and use the restart console option located there.
