    Hi guys

    Since the last update I've been having a pro lem with all of the Microsoft screens (home, setting, store), where if you hit the select/A key you can see the flicker on screen that the command has been received but it judt doesn't respond to it.

    Instead you have to hold down the button for several seconds (and can see the command being received onscreen). Most times this is enough, but sometimes you have to repeat this.

    It is definitely the console, not the controller, as the same problem is there for two wireless controllers, a wired controller, and the media controller.

    Not the end of the world, as everything behaves correctly in-game, but it is driving me slightly mad

    Has anyone any idea how I can fix this?

    'Select' button not responding on home screen

    Upon turning on my Xbox One, everything loads like normal. The only difference is when I click 'A' nothing happens. I might get a flicker on the highlighted item on screen, but it won't register or open the program. If I hold it down, it flicker like I'm
    pressing it 20 times but still not work. Sometimes after holding it down long enough the program or game will finally open. This started about 38 hours ago. In the time since this started I have done several full power cycles, changed power mode from "Instant
    On" to "Energy Saving." I have left it unplugged for 11 minutes. I have tried using a wired, wireless controller and media remote. Then turned off and reconnected every device. Nothing has worked. A separate issue also arose. When I open Netflix, any time
    I press a direction with the stick OR d-pad it will scroll over 2 items, not the usual one. it is important to note that once I'm able to open a game or program, the select and a buttons work perfectly. The problem persists only on the home screen.

    1.Press the Xbox button to return to the Home screen.

    2.Press the Menu button and select Settings (or select Settings on the Home screen).

    3.Select the family member’s account whose settings you want to change, and then select Custom privacy template.

    4.Change the Buy and download setting.

    Why can't I get the 3 months free Game Pass Ultimate which the packaging states comes with the Xbox I purchased?

    I was able to get in touch with Microsoft and they walked me through it. Go to the Home screen and at the top of the page choose Settings. In Settings select Account and then on the screen that opens up you see an option that says, "Included with this Xbox", select that. On the next screen it will show the 3 month pass and an option to "Claim It". Once you select that it will bring you to the screen to enter a payment method. Once you set up the payment method and select Next you're all set. To confirm that it worked go back to the Home screen, Settings, Account and this time select subscriptions. It should show up with the next payment date which should be 3 months from now. That's it.

    Go to the home screen and at the top of the page choose Settings. In Settings, select Account and then on the screen that opens you will see an option that says "Included with this Xbox", select it. The next screen will show the 3-month pass and an option to "Claim it." Once you select that, you will be taken to the screen to enter a payment method. Once you set up your payment method and select Next, you're all set. To confirm it worked, go back to the home screen, Settings, Account and this time select subscriptions. It should appear with the next payment date, which should be 3 months from now. That's all.
