Home page tile selections

I have had my XBox One S fora while now and i have just encountered my first problem with it. When i use the wifi controller to to select tiles, the selection seems realy fast and misses tiles out, i need to scroll all around the tiles randomly to get
to the tile i need to select. Any ideas on how to rectify this?

Hey there Mark!

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with issues trying to select things off of your Dashboard.

If the previously posted troubleshooting steps haven't done the trick yet, I would suggest trying a soft factory reset of your console.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.

Hi Mark,

The issue with the thumb sticks is known as drifting. My controllers get it after about 3-6 months, depending on the games I am playing. Think the controller just gets wore out.

No. I have 2 wireless controllers and most of the time have just one of them on. I have in the past also used the controllers on my windows pc.

Hi. I did the resets as you fine folk here recommended, with no joy. But whilst lookin further into settings etc, including controller settings, i found that the right thimbstick was constantly showing operating forwards. By drawind the the thumbstick back
slightly, i eas able to navigate the home screen properly. I have made an internet search for this problem and came across numerous blogs etc telling of a common fault experienced with the controllers. Im a bit dissapointed as both the controllers are showing
the same problem and although nearly 2 years old, there not used at all too often as most avid gamers do. On a posotive note, i now i have to purchase new controllers to fix the problem. Hope this can be used for feedback with any folk experiencing the same
problem.

Have you tried resetting the console by holding the power button for 10sec?
