Home Gold and game sharing doubts

Hello! I am reading a lot about the Home Gold features here on the forum and I have a question. Let's take two people, A and B, both have a Gold subscription. A goes to B, sets B's ONE as Home and downloads a game he had in his library because previously
digitally purchased. B logs in with his GT and can play the game. A goes home and turns on his ONE but keeps it not set as Home. So he uses his ONE like he is "On The Go". Now the question are: 1) can both A and B play that same downloaded game at the same
time? 2) can B keep on playing the downloaded game and A play another game (I give for granted they can both play online because they are both Gold) I know for sure in the moment A sets his ONE as Home then B loses rights to play the downloaded game. Please,
clarify this for me because I'd really like to know and most important if there is any chance to get into a ban doing so. Thanks!

is only for profiles within the
console xbox one, or also to other
consoles connected to the same network?

you could use it the way you stated, but you could get both get banned for marketplace theft as home console is only your xbox at your place to enable your friends to Play your games there

home console is NOT a friends console where you Setup so HE can use your games outside of your home

That was exactly my point but reading of all the people doing that on different forums put doubts in my mind. I am quite sure there will be tons of bans coming soon! *lol*

Hello Dofusyosi,

By "Home Gold" I assume you are refering to sharing Gold status to other accounts by setting an Xbox as the "Home Xbox" through Settings > Personalization > My Home Xbox.

The gold sharing does only qualify on the Xbox that the account in question has set as it's home Xbox. Any other consoles would be unable to receive the shared Gold status, even if the profile was logged into another Console.

The "Home Console" sharing shares Gold and your games with the Home Console at the same time.

There is no way to separate Gold sharing from game sharing.

However, while you are signed in on any console, that console also gets to share your Gold and games, as long as you are signed in.

So your child can play online multiplayer on the console you're currently signed in on, while someone else can also use your Gold and games on the Home Console.

To clarify are you sharing your Xbox Live Gold membership via Home Gold, or are you referring to another user sharing their Gold with you? If you're the one sharing Gold, we'd recommend signing into the console you'd like to share your Gold membership on
and ensuring that it's set as your
Home console.

If someone else was sharing Gold with you, you'll need to reach out to that person to help verify that the console you're playing on is set as the Home console for their account.
