    Let me start by saying I know as it is I can't home console with more than one person but I would like to know if there are any tricks I could do or something my situation is me and my step dad live in the same house and are sharing accounts on our consoles
    so we only need one gold account and one copy of a game but my brother who doesn't live with us is going to be getting a Xbox one but doesn't have a lot of money to buy games I would like to know if there is anything I can do to help him but still have my
    account on my step dads console i've heard that if you call Xbox support and are lucky they will let you have more than one home console is this just talk or is it actually possible

    Hey there Spartan!

    Not many router's will support multiple xboxes and allow them to have an Open NAT at the same time whitch is crucial for best gaming experience. I would recomend you have a look at:

    Multiple xboxes using one router internet connection    .

    On your router, make sure UPnP is enabled. You can try configuring Port Triggering but for this to work, it have to be the right router and right firmware.

    Try raise the MTU setting to 1500

    You did mentioned that you have a second router, Netgear. What is the model?

    No. Its true you can only have ONE home console. Not sure who told you that support could let you have more than one but thats definitely false.

    The Xbox that you do not use as often, set that one up as your Home Xbox.

    Then Xbox that you do use often, do not setup as a Home Xbox. Use it as you normally would and log in with your Gamertag to play. Now, if you have a friend over and want to play together then they can log in to the Home Xbox and use games from your library
    and will even have Gold access while they are logged into that Xbox. If they don't have a Live account then they will need to create one (or you can create a second live account for people to use).

    Basically games comes with two licenses, one attaches to your Gamertag and the other attaches to whatever you have set for your Home Xbox for that Gamertag. So I have an Xbox upstairs for the kids (Set as the Home xbox for my Gamertag) and I have one in
    the office for me (No home set, I login to it). I login to the one upstairs and purchase/download/install games then logout. Now my kids can login and use that Xbox to play games from my library. They can even play same games online with me if they use
    the Upstairs Home Xbox and I use the Xbox in my office.

    We have had Time Warner in the past (my home burned down about 4 yrs ago and we had Time Warner in our old home and my grandparents home. We moved into this new home in September). At every location we've been at, my brothers and I have all had our own Xbox's,
    and we have never had a problem connecting at once( that doesn't mean we didn't have the occasional lag).
