    Home Console problem


    Hello,

    I have a problem.Together with my boyfriend we wanted to connect their Xbox accounts using the home console settings.
    His account can be easily assigned to the console and set it as home.
    It can not be done on my account. I can not set the console as home.
    I tried on my Xbox as well as on his. Each time the same error occurs.
    "Can not save changes. We can not connect to the service at the moment. Please try again later."
    I will answer immediately, I have an internet connection, all games work. Thanks!

    Hello kangielike,

    Here are a few solutions you can try before moving onto more course ones:

    1. Complete the steps and solutions on these pages and test your issue again. Power Cycling Xbox One
    2. If your issue persists try resetting your console while keeping your games and apps. Then, test your issue once again.
    3. Otherwise, if the issue persists hard reset your Xbox. Follow the steps on this page: Reset Xbox One Consoles
    If your issue still persists after trying these, you could get in contact with Xbox and they could run a diagnostic on your system and will definitely be able to resolve the issue.

    Sorry to hear it. If he has switched his tag as Home somewhere else then that would remove the Home setting from your console.

    Two other ideas to try:

    If you haven't accepted the terms of use in awhile, there was semi-recently a new one issued that caused some problems for people that didn't know to go and accept it again. So that's worth checking out.

    Also, you could try completely deleting/removing your account from the xbox (NOT the account itself obviously) and then redownloading it to the xbox. Just be careful to read prompts and such.

    (The latter will happen automatically as a consequence of a soft factory reset, so you may want to just go ahead and do that as already suggested - don't worry you won't lose anything as long as you follow prompts, do it offline (forget network), choose
    to keep my games & apps. it may delete local saves, but they're all on the cloud anyway so it will just sync when you boot games)
