Is it allowed? Will you get banned for doing it?

Say i set my friends XB1 as my home xbox, and he sets my Xb1 as his home xbox. That means i can play on my own xbox, using my own gamertag, but play all of his digital titles. Meaning i can buy Game A and he can buy Game B, but we can both play game A and
    B with our own profiles.

I've heard of a few people doing this, and it works perfectly. And i would love to do this too, but is it allowed? I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere. Thanks in advance for the help Home console game sharing :)

    :)

    Account problem

That's not related to game sharing. With the Home setting, game sharing is a thing, but it is technically only recommended to set your own console as your Home console, but you can set another console as your Home console if you do it properly.

How do I share fold with child account while also game sharing with another xbox

The "Home Console" sharing shares Gold and your games with the Home Console at the same time.

There is no way to separate Gold sharing from game sharing.

However, while you are signed in on any console, that console also gets to share your Gold and games, as long as you are signed in.

So your child can play online multiplayer on the console you're currently signed in on, while someone else can also use your Gold and games on the Home Console.

The big issue here is that for the 360 this is considered marketplace theft and could result in the console and/or gamertag being banned from the Live service.

On the Xbox One there is a support page that explains how to do this but does not specify whether it is allowed only within the same family or between friends. support.xbox.com/.../my-home-xbox
. You can only change the Home console 3 times per year.

Because there has been no official answer as to whether this is legal as per the ToU or CoC of the Live service no one is willing to say whether it is allowed or not.

I wish I could give you a better answer but the only thing I can suggest (for the time being) is to not do this with your friend to avoid a possible enforcement action in the future.

I suppose this remains the case? I ask because I'm an admin on an Xbox gaming group on facebook. Any mention of game sharing is not allowed currently. I don't have a One yet and as far as the group goes I definitely want to remove posts of people asking
others in the group to game share - the risk of losing ones account is too high, for instance - I've been less inclined to remove posts about how it is done.

  6. Xbox One Home Console is designed to share games with your family members however, it may also be shared with good friends for you to enjoy the Licenses on your account. And Xbox Support Representative may also reset a home console for you should you ran
out of resets, assuming you purchased a new Xbox One. Though this is for a limited number of times only and depending on the situation.

What happens when I setup a Home console?

    Basically there are two things:

•Share games and downloadable content purchased from the digital store with anyone else who signs in on your console. You can even share games downloaded as part of a subscription.

•Share your Xbox Gold subscription with anyone else who signs in on your console.

A good suggestion would be to turn on the Pass key security feature on your Xbox One to prevent unauthorized access on your account.

playing the same game from game pass on two consoles

    Hello again!

If he is home-sharing with you in the console you are gaming on, you can definitely home-share in another console using your account. Please note that if you home-share in another console the feature will be removed from your brother in law's console. If
you are home-sharing with him as well, you won't be able to home share with your wife's console because you can only home share one console at a time with five switches a year. So you can either home share with your brother in law's console or your wife's
    console.
