Home button not working

    Home button not working


    When I press the home button the screen dims and I hear the sound associated with the home menu but nothing comes up. I can't get to settings or exit apps or anything now. If I try to get there by selecting
    my Avatar at the top left of the main screen that you boot to the same thing happens. tried to cold restart where you hold down for 10 seconds but still doesnt work. ive been using a keyboard and mouse recently but i have it all unplugged and just have controller
    connected. (tried both wireless and wired). anyone have any ideas how to fix?

    I have this same exact problem. I've turned it off and back on many times, but it hasn't fixed it. Have you or anyone else figured out how to fix this, because I'm getting tired of having to turn my Xbox off just to switch apps or being unable to access
    friend or party options.

    Hi

    Can you try and carry out a full console restart by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds once the console has switched off I would personally also then remove the power cable from the wall outlet for a couple
    of minute then reconnect and switch everything back on and hopefully pressing the home button will bring up the guide.

    Try this

    1. Press and hold console power button till fully off.

    2. Press and keep held both bind and eject buttons.

    3. Press power button (keeping bind eject held) and wait for second power up chime.

    4. Select reset console from troubleshooting menu.

    5. Reset keeping all games and apps.
