Home button not working

Posted in the General thread but was told to put it in here

Since the latest dashboard update, ive noticed pressing the Xbox Button or saying "xbox go home" doesnt always work when in game. Instead nothing will happen. Seems after a minute or so it does decide to work, but only noticed this since the latest update.
Doesnt happen all the time, but 2 games ive played it happens with now and again

Anyone else?

I have this same exact problem. I've turned it off and back on many times, but it hasn't fixed it. Have you or anyone else figured out how to fix this, because I'm getting tired of having to turn my Xbox off just to switch apps or being unable to access
friend or party options.

Hey there bobblebob100!

Sorry to hear about the controller issue. Let's start by power cycling the Xbox One console to clear out the system cache. Follow these steps below to try that:

Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.

Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable from the Xbox One and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Plug the power back into the unit and power the console on.

Post back and let us know if that helps!

Hi

Can you try and carry out a full console restart by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds once the console has switched off I would personally also then remove the power cable from the wall outlet for a couple
of minute then reconnect and switch everything back on and hopefully pressing the home button will bring up the guide.

Try this

1. Press and hold console power button till fully off.

2. Press and keep held both bind and eject buttons.

3. Press power button (keeping bind eject held) and wait for second power up chime.

4. Select reset console from troubleshooting menu.

5. Reset keeping all games and apps.
