    Home Button Not Working


    My home button no longer brings up the side panel on the screen or brings me to the home screen. It will turn the console on and off, but now when I press it as I normally would to bring up that panel (to access my friends or avatar), it merely dims the
    screen. Also, selecting my profile button on the home screen only dims the screen.

    Hi

    Can you try and carry out a full console restart by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds once the console has switched off I would personally also then remove the power cable from the wall outlet for a couple
    of minute then reconnect and switch everything back on and hopefully pressing the home button will bring up the guide.

    Home Button not working

    Xbox One controllers home button won’t work. Like you can turn the Xbox off and the controller off but you can’t bring up the home menu or anything. It just makes the screen turn dark. Any ideas on how to fix?

    I had the same issue try a soft reset.

    I have this same exact problem. I've turned it off and back on many times, but it hasn't fixed it. Have you or anyone else figured out how to fix this, because I'm getting tired of having to turn my Xbox off just to switch apps or being unable to access
    friend or party options.

    Had same exact issue! Here is what I did to resolve:

    - Unplug XBOX from power source (e.g. power strip / wall outlet,)

    - Wait about 30 seconds and plug back in to the power source.

    - Powering ON should be a full boot with green XBOX screen

    - At the Home screen, launch an app then press Home button on controller to confirm if issue is resolved

    Seriously, this started a few days ago. Could get out of the Blu-ray.

    Now playing a game and can't get back home.

    I press the home button and I hear the side menu pop up, but nothing is showing.

    If I long press the home button it bring up the console power down, narrator, and magnifier menu. So the home button is working.

    Just not for bringing up the side menu.

    What's up XBOX.

    Try this

    1. Press and hold console power button till fully off.

    2. Press and keep held both bind and eject buttons.

    3. Press power button (keeping bind eject held) and wait for second power up chime.

    4. Select reset console from troubleshooting menu.

    5. Reset keeping all games and apps.
