Hollow Knight on Games Pass for PC - Missing UnityPlayer.dll after reinstall

I have Xbox games pass for PC and I started playing Hollow Knight this week and have already played it a couple of times and it opened fine. Then I installed the Windows patch that came out this week and now I get this error:
"The code executed cannot proceed because UnityPlayer.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

I reinstalled the game last night and I still got the same error. What can I do to fix this?

I'm still having the problem after another reinstall.

Some games on Game Pass for PC do not have achievements. Hollow Knight is one of those games, hence why achievements are not unlocking.

I just tried installing Hollow Knight since it's PC only and it launched the Hollow Knight page on my Xbox App but while on the website it says "INSTALL TO included with Game Pass" in the app it says not available. Oh and also Back 4 Blood is nowhere to be found in my Xbox app.

Is Hollow Knight a Play Anywhere title? I didn't think there was a PC release that had Xbox achievements.

Searching True Achievements all I see is Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition which isn't a Play Anywhere title: https://www.trueachievements.com/game/Hollow-Knight/achievements

Hey there BeardyMcBeardFace,

Thank you for responding, it looks like the game Hollow Knight does not actually support Xbox Live Cloud Saves. When looking at both the PC edition and the Xbox One edition it shows that the PC edition does not have capabilities for Xbox live cloud saves
while the Xbox One edition does support Xbox live cloud saves.

You can find the capabilities when looking through the game details.

Is this something that you have been able to do in the past or are you attempting it for the first time?
