Holding the Xbox button takes me to games and apps

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread to post this but anyways every time I hold the glowing xbox button to bring up the options to turn off the console or controller it brings up the games portion of my games and apps. I haven't been able to figure
out why it keeps doing this. The only thing I can think of is that one of the games was updating and needed me to insert the disc to complete the installation. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Xbox Live not working post update.

It didn't work. I cannot even access my settings. When I click Settings it brings me right back to the main screen. I did a factory reset ia holding the controller connect and eject button and then while still holding pressing the power button but I get
kept apps and games. No changes except my Gamer tag is no longer on the xbox.

Black screen

My Xbox won't go to the home screen and any related functions such as settings, games and apps and such. If i use the app i do have acces to my pinned apps.

Already tried holding the Xbox button that hasn't worked.

It was bugging me too! But I found if you go to settings>power&startup>restart now....it's back to normal! Woo!

This sometimes happens to me with other games and apps. Try reopening it and if that doenst work you may have to uninstall and reinstall the app or restart or hard restart the xbox. Hold home button—> select restart

or

Hold xbox power button for 5-10 seconds

You need to hold the button longer and it will take you to the achievements app.

Press & hold the button on left side of console (if you are facing the console), then also press & hold the eject button (continue holding both of these buttons), now press the xbox power button (continue to hold all 3 buttons until the xbox chimes, then
release power button - still hold both the side & eject button until the xbox chimes again - then release all buttons). A black background screen comes up with the option of resetting to factory settings - choose this one. **Then, choose to reset with saving
your apps & games** When it starts up, you have to go through the whole set up (choosing language, time zone, setting up kinect, etc.) but it doesn't take long.

Press and hold the sync button (on the left side of xbox) and the eject button (on the front) and tap the power button once while holding sync and eject. Wait until you hear the second beep to release the sync and eject. This will take you to the factory reset screen then click reset to factory settings. There is an option to either reset and keep all games and apps or reset fully to original factory settings. Hope this helps!
