    I was told this was the only way I could get support because I am in the preview program both my wireless controllers started acting strangely if I hold the x button down hard for a second or 2 it behaves as if I just pressed the xbox button for example
    I'm in a game hold down x my controller vibrates and goes to the menu that asks if I would like to turn it off, if I hold down the Y button it brings me to the preview dashboard and asks if I would like to report a problem if I hold down A it exists to the
    dashboard it also does what its supposed to do for example if I lightly press the x button it performs the desired response it only happens when pressed down all the way and held for a second or 2, this makes all my games unplayable Ex. I'm playing call of
    duty I go to the 3d printer to get a weapon u have to hold down x it gets me the weapon but at the same time stops the game to ask if I want to turn off the xbox, I called support they walked me thru reseting the xbox etc to no effect, this problem started
    right after an update when the xbox elite mapable controller came out funny..... TESR

    Join Xbox preview dashboard app crashing

    Can you try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?

    Dashboard horrendous since update

    Try doing a power cycle, hold down the power button for at least 10 seconds, let it shut down. Remove the power cable from the back, plug it in again and then turn your xbox on again.

    I'm having a similar issue. When prompted in, say, Destiny or Halo MCC to hold down the X-button, sometimes I'm abruptly taken to the dashboard or another app (like Upload) is launched. Naturally, that can be very annoying during gameplay, whether online
    or offline. What could be causing the issue?

    Can you try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?
