Holding A button when typing on the Xbox one keyboard from controller

I don't know if any of you know what does it do when you hold the A button on a specific letter when typing on the Xbox one keyboard from the controller but i noticed when i hold the A button on a specific letter for example R or k some different symbols
show up on when holding a button on those letters on the keyboard and I'm wandering if that's a normal function of the keyboard menu I'm talking about the one that you use to search on the search bar for games on the store or when sending messages

It took me a long time to discover that too! But most symbols on the keyboard have alternate versions accessed by long-press (Xbox and mobile keyboards) or the Alt key, as mentioned by others.

Pro tip: You can use them to make sign text do weird stuff in Minecraft

Yeah have i told you that even long pressing A on the games and apps tiles wouldn't start unless you let go the A button its also weird and all buttons do that the B too if you long press the B button to exit the same it wouldn't exit unless you let go of the
B button too same thing goes for the other buttons as well Y and X i believe

No problem i didn't know either there's a lot of shortcuts that i missed because I'm more of a gamer like everyone and didn't have time to notice
