Holding A button to access anything

Hey all, would anybody know why/how to fix an issue where my xbox is making me hold the A button to open games, apps, and even navigate the panels of the xbox? If I press the button it makes a noise like it's choosing it, but won't actually open unless
I hold the button down for a few seconds.. any insight would be appreciated!

I tested all my controllers and they are all having the same issue on my console, but not on my PC or on my partners console

Have you tried power cycling or restarting the console? That can help with issues like this.

Yes, I have. After I did, every time I would try to type in the search bar, it would let me choose a single letter and then jump me up to the "predictive fill" bar above the on screen keyboard. (Along with having to hold the A button)

Sorry to hear about this frustrating matter. If you are having the same issue across 4 different controllers, sounds like it's an issue with the console itself and may need to be reset.
