    Hold 'X' to record on Snap options no longer appears?


    Hi there.

    I've used the function to record the last minute or however long it is, a while back.

    I'm talking about the function where you double tap the Xbox button (which brings up snap options) and then you should be able to press/ hold 'X' to record the last minute of gameplay.

    This option has disappeared for me and I can no longer record clips.

    I have 30gb of space so that's not it.

    I wonder if maybe it's not compatible with the Xbox preview program? Are there any known bugs there?

    Xbox will no longer "record that"

    The option to hold 'X' to record a clip after pressing the home button twice is no longer available.

    I have plenty of space to record clips.

    Why might this happen?

    Manual "record that" option - October update

    The manual option for record that commend by pressing the guide button twice then "x" added on October update is not showing up for me. I do get the four options to snap things by the d-pad. But I do not get option to press "x". Please help.

    How do you record

    If you want to record longer than 30 seconds (default) say 'Xbox-Snap-Game DVR' this will snap the DVR options to your right, the top selection
    'Edit Clip Now' will allow you to change your record times. However, from what I can tell you have to change this each time you want to record longer than 30 seconds, seems it always goes back to the 30 sec after the longer selection finishes.

    5 Minutes of DVR gameplay

    I'm not sure of a 5 min replay option, but you can manually start and stop a Game DVR recording. "Xbox record this" only does the 30sec record, but by snapping out and starting a recording and snapping back in you can record as long as you want (I believe)
    and then do the same to stop recording.

    I don't think that's true. According to the major nelson video for the update, all you have you do is press the Xbox button twice then x. You dont have to snap anything. And I checked with my brother's console and it works with his. He gets the option to
    press x to record.
