Hogwarts Legacy suddenly says I don't own it

I bought the Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition for Xbox Series X/S before the game launched on Xbox One specifically because it included access to the Xbox One version of the game. I currently only own an Xbox One and want to buy an Xbox Series X when I can find one in my area. I wanted to play Hogwarts Legacy on both consoles eventually, so this was perfect.

I have been playing my copy of Hogwarts Legacy on my Xbox One with no issues every day since the game launched on May 5th. That is until this evening. When I went to boot up the game today, for some reason I got an error messages asking that I insert my disc or sign into the account that owns the game. I only have the digital copy and I double checked to make sure I was signed into the correct account and I was. I also checked to make sure my purchase of the game from May 1st had gone through and it had. I tried restarting my machine as well as signing out and back into my account. No matter what I do, I'm still getting this error. As a last ditch effort, I'm uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I wasn't able to reinstall from the Xbox store on my device, as the Series X/S version in my owned games says it's incompatible and when I go to the Xbox One version in the store it wants me to buy it again for $60. I was able to queue the download on my Xbox one from the store on my web browser. The console is currently in the process of reinstalling. If that doesn't work, I don't know what I will do. It seems like my digital copy is broken. Can someone please fix this?

I am having the same issue.. I specifically paid for the digital deluxe so that my son could play it on his Xbox one x when it came out.. now it says I only own the base version of the game yet my Xbox purchase history shows the digital deluxe with both copies included..

Christopher, please let me reiterate: THEY told YOU to do THEIR Job and reach out to THEIR supplier? What kind of behaviour is that?

We are their customers not WB's customers. Do I have to write to Seagate the next time the hard drive of my Surface Laptop breaks down?

This cannot be the way, Microsoft treats their customers.

I will remain with the Microsoft XBOX Support. And I strongly urge everybody who has a DRM issue regarding the XBOX store to do same, and to give them fire. It's simply their responsibility.

May I know if you tried to perform a physical power cycle again?

Another option is try to install the game using the Xbox mobile app.
If you want to know about that you just need to open the app and go to the search tab and type Hogwarts Legacy.
Once you see the Xbox one version tap on it and select "download to console"

I also just noticed my console made an update on the 13th of May, right before the trouble started. Is this also the case for your Xbox One?

Yes, I power cycled several times. The only way I can install the game was through the mobile app, but then it still says that I need to insert the disc or sign into the account that owns the title even though I am signed into that account.
