    Hitting home sometimes causes video to stop outputting


    Like the subject says, Occasionally when I hit the home button on my controller, the screen will go black. I can still hear sounds and responses from voice commands and controller, but no video. I have to do a hard reset to get it working again.

    How's the XB1 as a Bluray player?

    Yeah, activated 24Hz the day I got it.

    That snippet isn't referring the audio sync, but the output timing which causes the judder. This is caused, only sometimes, by pausing and unpausing, or skipping chapters.
    The rest of the quote here,

    " It’s much rarer, but there is a bug in the Blu-ray playback software which introduces motion stutter. We encountered it when playing 24p movies, with the console correctly outputting 24p. Irritatingly, sometimes after pausing and unpausing the video, the video decoder would somehow “lose sync” with the output timing, creating motion stutter every Xth frame"

    Certainly doesn't sound like the problem people are complaining about here.

    Xbox logo light stays on even when console is off.

    When I turn off the Xbox One (either with the controller or hitting the logo on the front of the console) the light will go off for a few minutes but will then light back up. The Xbox isn't outputting any video, but the light is still on. Any ideas? Is
    this normal?

    I have had the same problem and the only thing I can do to get it back is to unplug the power supply and plug it back in. Any idea how to fix this problem?

    Hold down the Power Button, to do a Reset! Instead of unplugging it! They are supposedelly working on a fix!

    The Xbox team is aware of the situation and the update that is coming out tomorrow (the 4th), is fixing it. As you stated, doing a hard reset on the console is the only way to fix it.

    So, do you have your consoles plugged into a surge protector or into a wall outlet? The ONE's do not like a surge protector or extension cord.
