    Hitron: Hitron CODA-4582 IPv6

    Hitron (Modems/Gateways): Hitron CODA-4582 IPv6
I'm looking to setup my Xbox One S, on IPv4 and IPv6, over wan. So far all my IPv6 devices connect over Wired/Wireless to IPv6 with no issues, just the xbox. My provider is Rogers and from what I can see is good to go for IPv6. On test-ipv6.com I get 10/10.

When I try and redo my wireless setup I only get access to IPv4, and not 6. Does the Xbox only do IPv6 over Wire? If they can do it Wireless can someone help me in setting it up since i'm not seeing any options.

Netgear: Xbox One is saying NAT is strict. Also states it's using IPv4 now instead of both.

Netgear (Routers): Xbox One is saying NAT is strict. Also states it's using IPv4 now instead of both.
I am in need of guidance to help me set my IP back to IPv6.

    Party disconnects

Both of us are hardwired up, so this isn’t the case. He said something about using IPV6, instead of IPV4. So I’m wondering if that has anything to do with.

    IPv6

    I have the same issue.

I am connected in IPv4 but my ISP has IPv6. MY set up - I have my xbox plugged directly into my modem a Hitron CGN 3.0. I have checked my Modems settings and there is no setting to turn IPv6 off or on. AM I missing something?

    Network problems

I’m on the 5ghz I tried swapping at one point to the 2.4 and it was slower.

Ipv4 protocol on the Xbox, modem supports both ipv6 and ipv4

How to change Ipv6 DNS server manually?

Only way to get around it for now that I know of - don't direct connect to your cable modem but instead place a router capable of working with IPV4 and IPV6 and then change the DNS settings for the WAN ports there.

I have comcast myself and yes their IPV6 DNS servers are not ready for prime time. Test performed using theirs mostly fail, while using googles Public iPV6 DNS servers always pass.

So, what I did - though the router will receive it's Public IP's (IPV4 and IPV6) and the DNS Servers to use. I instead changed the DNS settings from Auto to Manual - Manually adding Googles DNS Servers for both IPV4 and IPV6 but leaving the Actual Addressing
set to auto for both IPV4 and IPV6.

Thus: Anything DHCPing from my router (which acts as a DNS Forwarder) will receive and IP Address for my network along with the Routers IP Address as the DNS Server. Noted on my XBOX ONE that my Primary DNS Server is in an IPV6 Format and it's set to my
Routers Local IP Address. So what happens now AND DNS Requests will now pass DNS thru the router to what it was told to use as DNS servers which are now Googles Public DNS servers for both IPV4 and IPV6.

    Problem solved.
