Hitman3 not launching with Advanced Management/Insider Install on PC

To answer your question, Xbox Insider has access to a feature that allows you to choose where you want to save the game. This news can be found at Advanced Installation and Management Features available for Insiders through the Xbox App for Windows - Xbox Wire.

If you want to join Xbox Insider, first make sure your Xbox apps (including Gaming Services) are up to date, then follow the instructions below:

1. Install and launch Xbox Insider Hub app on PC.
   
2. Navigate to Previews > Windows Gaming and select Join.
   
3. Wait for the registration to complete and check the Microsoft Store for updates to the Xbox and Gaming Services apps.
   
4. (You may try to restart PC.) Launch the Xbox app on PC.
   
5. Select your Gamerpic at the top, then select Settings.
   
6. Select General, then go to Game install options and select Use advanced installation and management features.

The Xbox Insider Hub can be installed from Microsoft Store on your Windows 10 PC.

1. Open Microsoft Store.
2. Search for the Xbox Insider Hub.
3. Select Get/Install.

Stop participating in the Xbox Insider Program

1. Launch the Xbox Insider Hub.
2. Go to Settings > Manage devices.
3. Select the consoles to unenroll from the Xbox Insider Program.
4. Uninstall the Xbox Insider Hub.

However, through subsequent attempts and inquiries, I think that the computer with the "advanced installation" problem has a problem with the operation of the Xbox app before the "advanced installation" is enabled, rather than the Xbox Insider itself.



My computers in question were unable to successfully create a desktop shortcut to the game before and after enabling "Advanced Installation and Management Features". And the top of the app will prompt an error, and clicking it will jump to Microsoft's error 0x80073d26 page. (Although it does not affect the main functions of the app, such as downloading and running games)



And my 4th PC running the Xbox "Advanced Install" succeeded, it had no errors before and after enabling the "Advanced Install and Management Features" and successfully created the shortcut. By the way, I've already tried "Reinstall Windows from this device". still doesn't work.

The above issue occurred on a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro.

I was able to "fix" the issue by unenrolling from Xbox Insider Hub's Windows Gaming. I then uninstalled the Xbox app. I restarted my machine. I then re-enrolled back in the Windows Gaming Preview. I reinstalled the Xbox App. I still had the same error, so I unchecked the option to "Ask me for install options on every install." Game Pass Games now install as normal rather than the advanced options under C:\Xbox Games.

Identifying the issue was seeing the option "This game supports advanced management features." on the 7 games that were already installed.

In conclusion,

I believe this is some sort of Xbox Insider Hub Preview issue with the Xbox App because the 7 games were installed without the option of C:\Xbox Games that I had prior to reloading Windows 11.

1. Go to System Settings.

2. Click About

3. Advanced System Settings

4. Advanced

5. Settings

6. Visual effects

7. Select Custom > Animate controls and elements inside windows

Restart your PC then launch Xbox Insider Hub and leave preview.
