Hitman won't be a complete game at launch

Discus and support Hitman won't be a complete game at launch in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; ...sometimes I feel insulted by PR teams. ..........

Hello everyone Hitman won't be a complete game at launch :)

    ...........

I am having so much fun with Hitman: Blood Money

    ..........

It is so weird to have this new Hitman in an episodic format. I didn't mind it when The Walking Dead did this, but a Hitman game is something that has to be a complete experience in my opinion LOL Hitman won't be a complete game at launch :)

    ..........

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone Hitman won't be a complete game at launch :)

So you buy the game and they gradually expand it like "Destiny" but don't charge you extra for it.

    Why are you complaining?

Destiny released almost a year ago and is still going strong today.

Despite the handful of conspiracy theorists who don't work for Bungie but insist they know how the Developer "really" meant for the game to be... well Bungie seem to have managed the content pretty well and made the game last a heck of a lot longer than
    anything else on the ONE.

While a minority of people hate it, the majority loved it and still love it and will love it when Taken King releases as well. What Bungie actually did was give the industry a LESSON in pacing.

So here's "Hitman". Releasing in a format that has the potential to be another game that lasts more than a weekend rental.

And unlike Destiny, which had you pay for the expansions... is giving you all the additional content for the original asking price.

While some of you might not be able to wrap your heads around it and are convinced the developers are trying to take you for a fast buck... Others may be able to both appreciate and applaud developers who have managed to make a modern game last longer than
a weekend rental and succeed in stretching the fickle and shallow all too brief spark that passes for the "attention span" of the modern gamer.

Just about every person who rags on Destiny does so with merit. You dont need to work at Bungie to see all the BS. Half of it is locked away on the disk... you know what Im not getting into this. Do some research then come back . Oh and just because something
is popular doesnt mean its good, Destiny is a hollow gaming experience PERIOD. I love people like this who get on others for not accepting mediocrity. Like we're the idiots for being able to see with both eyes and not in just black and white. Seriously go
do some research, there is a trove of credible Youtube videos that will illustrate how bad Destiny really is and why and how it become this way.

You dont have the right to insult people for not liking the game you do. As much as I cannot believe people would remotely defend such abhorrent business practices I am still sorta surprised that they do at the same time. And please dont act like Destiny
hit the eureka vein and some how made a game last longer then it should. its all hamster wheels and recycled vanilla content. I know all well you wont but I do implore you to do some research man, its ok to like something but be critical of it at the sametime.

Hey Az, i see your point. That does make a bit of sense. But see Hitman, see Destiny. Destiny has a far larger budget and didn't underperform in sales. Hitman Absolution unfortunately did.

I see your piont and that is wishful thinking (i should do that being that i love the Hitman series). But Do you see my point in my second post?

Sod that, I don't want a dev to decide how long I should take to play a game i paid for..... It's beyond stupid to suggest it's a good thing.

If I'm playing through this game and I'm somewhere in the middle, suddenly I'm presented with "to be continued"? I'd be pretty annoyed and it would probably put me off wanting to play it in the future.

I will not pay full retail price for any game that follows thus route.

Or the developers never release the promised content and you end up paying for a game that will never get finished. My scenario is very real and I can link dozens of games that I personally own that fall into that category.

Like NxtDoc said if the game doesn't sell well or reviews poorly then there is no incentive to finish it. You can't continue to pay people to work on a game that isn't generating any income.

There is now a two year history of pay to play betas on the PC and the evidence supports developers looking to make a fast buck or developers going broke because the games didn't sell. The evidence to support what you believe will happen is nearly non-existent.
I own games that have been in the "waiting for content" stage for more than two years.......I don't find that acceptable.

  9. The thing is, the content they release after the game is released will not cost you anything extra. Yes, it's not 100% complete at release, but it also wont cost you anything extra to get the future episodes/content. Read this article, look at the bottom
    of the page:
    attackofthefanboy.com/.../new-hitman-game-neither-episodic-or-early-access

Here's the quote "While the precise plans for Hitman are still somewhat unclear, IO says that to experience everything in Hitman, you’ll pay only the $60 or regional equivalent."

Vaynel do I have to explain everything? Telltale games are so popular and they are what? EPISODIC! It was only a matter of time before loads more started to do it. Now look at all the episodic games releasing. Hitman is the first game of the so called AAA
    games to do it.

There is no doubt in my mind that this has to do with the popularity of Telltale games.

    Did that answer your question?

  11. This sounds disappointing and I'll be honest that I didn't read the article, but Resident Evil Revelations 2 came out in episodes so if it was something like that I wouldn't really mind. I just waited until the full game was available before purchase anyway,
but I think that's an alright example of a game not conventionally 'episodic' still working out.

People don't know what they want. They just think they do and are convinced they know best.

Just because you "can" do something doesn't mean you "should" do something.

So how do you encourage a self entitled "MacDonalds" generation that are used to getting it their way... immediately... that they should slow down and maybe try something a little different?

While it may not have been their ultimate aim at the outset "Bungie" have managed it brilliantly by loving gamers enough to say "No. Work for it".

Right now we don't know what we're getting with "Hitman" so criticising it and getting on your interweb soapbox about how you "hates it" is premature.

^^ How is it premature to hate something when someone says you won't be buying a complete game? It's like that anyway with most games released, but ones that are episodic are incredibly annoying. I hope this fails and fails miserably so maybe others get
this nonsense out of their head.

Imagine if Ryse was episodic. You'd of only received a few episodes 30 mins each. Instead you could play it for 5 hours beat it and return it. You know what you are getting.

Here's a good one. Lets make Forza episodic. You give us €60.00 now and then after that 1 race we will release a new track and a new car once every 2 months. This will keep you playing it til 2019. lol

    Yeah, sounds great.
