Hitman Trilogy Game Pass / Microsoft Account Issue

Hi,

I've run into a problem where as soon as I load up Hitman from the PC Game Pass, it asks me to login in with my Microsoft account as usual, I do that and on the "Press A/Enter to play" it just stays there. The Music in the background continues to play but the screen is frozen and doesn't go anywhere. I've reinstalled the game twice with no luck, however I tried a different Microsoft account and it went through fine, but obviously my saves/progress is gone. My guess is that I have a corrupt cloud save / in game save on there that's not allowing me to play the game. I obviously want to play the game on my original Microsoft account so any info would be appreciated. This is the screen im stuck with once logged in with my Microsoft account.

I did this before actually, but did not restart my PC. That was the step I missed which ended up working.

Complete given below directions to reset the app in Windows

Step 1: Open the Settings app. This can be done by clicking its icon in the Start menu or simultaneously pressing Windows logo + I.

Step 2: Click the Apps category icon and then click Apps & features to see all installed apps as well as classic desktop programs.

Step 3: Click on the app that you want to reset to see the Advanced options link. Click on the same (advanced options link).

Step 4: Finally, click the small Reset button. When you click the Reset button, you will find a small dialog box with “This will permanently delete the app’s data on this device, including your preferences and sign-in details.” Click the Reset button in the opened dialog box to reset the app.

Step 5: Once the Reset is done, you will see a check sign next to the Reset button. And restart the Pc

Yeah, the account in the game is the same one as the Xbox App( my main Microsoft account), which is the one having issues. As soon as the login prompt from Microsoft appears, I log in and I just get stuck at this screen with no progress ; it just stays frozen there.

Out of curiosity I tried a different Microsoft account which worked but there were no saves / files and I would rather be able to play on the main account for achievements / progress etc.

The account you are using in the gane it's the one you have in the Xbox app? Or the second account you try to use it's logged in the Xbox app?

the Hitman Trilogy on Game Pass includes access to the full versions of Hitman 1, 2, and 3. You should not need to purchase these games separately to access them. If you are being asked to purchase them, it is possible that there is an issue with your Game Pass subscription or the way the games are installed on your Xbox.
