Hitman: Absolution "Games With Gold" version

I had played this and beaten it and sold my copy a year or so ago, but I still enjoy it so when I saw it was free I downloaded it. But every time I try to play it, my Xbox completely freezes. I moved my original saved game to a memory unit so even a new
game will not load. What gives? Do I need the newer model 360 to run this game from my HDD?

You should be fine. Try clearing the console's cache and then restart it.

Called Xbox support. They told me to erase the game and all DLC and redownload. It's (re)downloading now. I'll let you guys know if it helped. They told me when I called that this is happening to lots of gamers, so I know I'm not alone in this.

 

Success! However, in all this fuss my saved game with near-100% completion got erased. If any of you find yourselves in the same boat, the trick is to erase all your Hitman: Absolution DLC and redownload that. Also, save your games on the Cloud because this
game has a nasty lost save game glitch also (in all formats).

 

Every time I try to download hitman absolution it says it's free but then brings up a purchase screen for $19.99...I've tried disconnecting from love and reconnecting and shutting my xbox on and off an also clearing y cache but nothing works...

 

@Western - your account is Silver. In order to take advantage of the free game offer you must have a Gold membership. If you have added a trial membership be aware that it will not work.
