Hitman 3 won't launch

I have the hitman trilogy downloaded on the Xbox app. I was able to play it one time. I closed the game cause I was done for the day. When I try to play it the day after brings me to the play options menu. However when I push play it does nothing. I have tried uninstalling it, repairing it. I tried to repair the Xbox app, and also resetting it. Nothing has worked. How do I launch the game?

No problem. You can skip this since we already cleaned the Microsoft Store cache and reset the app.

When I tried to do the " Press the Windows Key + R. Type WSReset.exe and press Enter." Step a black window opens and nothing happens.

Since you already uninstalled it and reset the Xbox App, I would suggest you to try to reinstall the Gaming Services:

- Go to Start > Search for PowerShell > Right Click > Run as Administrator.

- In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

- In the same window, type the following commands and press Enter:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

- Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

Also, please do these steps:

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Reset.

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox App > Advanced Options > Reset.

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Hitman Trilogy > Advanced Options > Reset.

- Go to Start > Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking > Fix it. (Windows 10 only)

- Go to Start > Settings > Gaming > Game Mode > Set if OFF.

- Press the Windows Key + R. Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

- Restart your computer. Open the Microsoft store and sign in with your account. Then, open the Xbox App and sign in with the same account.

See if you are able to play the game and please let me know.

In this case, try to use the System File Checker and DISM to repair broken, corrupted or missing system files:

Go to Start > Search for Command Prompt > Right Click > Run as Administrator. Run one command at a time:

sfc /scannow

chkdsk /r

chkdsk /f

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

If it still does not launch, please try to install it on another drive/partition to see how it goes.

If you are not able to install it on another drive/partition or it still does not launch, try to restore your Operation System via the ISO Image Tool. You will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

Download it > Open the ISO image tool > Open SETUP.exe > Select upgrade > Download from the cloud > Keep games and apps.
