Hitman 2 on xbox 360

That's actually poor form in my opinion. It should have stayed as a trilogy in the digital version. Lucky you caught that before buying!

 

They did the same thing with the HD collection of Metal Gear Solid, they only had like two of the games while one of them you need to buy separately. Anyways, I'm thinking about buying this, but there's so many good deals on games right now that I don't
know what to get.

 

Yeah, I bought the disc trilogy when it came out too, that's why I thought the download was the same thing. It came on two discs, Contracts/SA on one and Blood Money on the other.

I think part of the problem is that Blood Money was a dual-console release when it came out, it was available for original Xbox and 360 (may have even been a launch game). So they already had the disc version for 360, I suspect the only "remastering" was
for the first two Hitman games, then they stuck them both on one disc.

Still, $5 for SA and Contracts is pretty good, Silent Assassin in particular had some really fun missions.

 

I'd rather just get the trilogy on disc. Do many people still play Absolution to help with the online achievement requirements?

 

I was only going to buy it because it was on sale.

I got all the absolution online achievements on my own, the community was totally dead at the time.

 

Well, Absolution is the fourth one, it's not part of the trilogy.

For the online stuff, you mainly just play contracts created by others, there are quite a few to choose from so it's not very difficult. You also have to play a contract created by a friend. But there's no real PvP or co-op online or anything like that that
you need to do for cheevos.

I really enjoyed Absolution, some people complained because it's different from the other three but there are some cool missions in there. Looks like Absolution is on sale for $5 for the Black Friday thing too.

 

Some of the online achievements involve you inviting a friend to a challenge etc. this can be done solo and you don't even need to select a friend who actually owns the game or even one that's currently online!

All of those achievements can be done solo if I remember right, but that one makes it seem like you need an actual friend online with the game.

Also being the huge hitman fan that I am, absolution was rubbish and took the series backwards in my opinion. It changed what made the series so good and added what didn't need to be added. I completed it on professional for my first playthrough and never
went back.

 

Yeah I actually got the plat on it twice for PS3. I really, really enjoyed Absolution. There's not a Hitman game I haven't enjoyed.

The only problem with Absolution for me was the disguide feature seemed a bit weak. But to be honest I only think they ever got it right in Contracts and Blood Money.

So I know what needs to be done. What I should have asked was if the servers are still active for someone to start the game on 360 and get the 100%.

 

Most definitely mate, the game hasn't been out for that long and as it's not an actual PvP online mode so I don't think it will come down until the full 360 service is goes down, whenever that may be.

Ordered the trilogy and Absolution from Amazon for just over £15

Absolution for only £4 something brand new lol. Love the Kane & Lynch scenes in Absolution. Shame those games were frikkin wrecked.

 

I played absolution as intended on normal difficulty, then on professional mode i just ran through it as a shooter and killed everyone i could see.

 

I really enjoyed Absolution. The online stuff was a waste of time. I think when I never had access to online, the creators of Hitman Absolution actually made online features which I may have really enjoyed when younger. These days though I'm only about the
single player experience.

I played through the game on normal being all stealth the way Hitman was intended. But when playing on professional I have to admit that on most levels I completed them only by wiping everyone else out. Luckily the game had great gun combat as well as stealth,
so it was good to play it both ways.

I remember the older games being very difficult back on PC and PS2.
