Hitman 2 Gold Edition DLC no longer downloadable after recent update

Yesterday, when I trying to run Hitman 2 I was told that I had to download update. I thought nothing of this and accepted. When it had finished I loaded the game back up to find ALL the dlc had gone, literally uninstalled for an unknown reason.

When I went to manage my game, there was nothing "ready to install", 30 minutes or so later, the Missions for Hitman 2 were available again, but none of the Legacy DLC.

I searched the Marketplace for Hitman 2 Gold Edition and found the Legacy Pack, which said it was 100% off free, bit confused about that but I chose "Get" and now have the main story missions from the 2016 Hitman game. I am still missing the missions, outfits
and items that are part of the Patient Zero DLC however, which says I do not own it and is now a upgrade pack?

If this is some re-jiggle of the game's content I'm going to be really P'd off, having content I had access to slipped away from me after paying roughly £80 for what I assumed was the most "complete" edition available...(I have the paypal receipt on standby
if proof is needed) If it's just XBox Live having issues (as I have had similar content availability problems with Black Ops 4 almost every time I load it up) then I hope this can be rectified ASAP.

Hitman 2 Collectors Edition & The Crew 2 problem with this two game content, function.

Hitman 2 Collectors Edition comes with Hitman 2 Gold Edition which includes a number of DLC that can be found here:

Once you redeem the codes that came with the edition, the DLC should have began downloading automatically. If it didn't, then you can find the DLC's for the game by pressing the Menu button over the game and then select "manage games and add-on's", then
on the left you will see Installed and Ready to Install. Any DLC you own from the codes you redeemed will be found there. The prologue is one of the DLC's that come with this edition so you need to start Hitman 2 to play the prologue.

For The Crew Gold Edition finding the DLC included in that edition if you own it is found the same way I mentioned earlier to find your Hitman 2 DLC. The Microsoft Store shows no indication of any pre-order bonuses or what they are since the game came out
in late June 2018 so I would suggest contacting
Ubisoft Support for that question.

Hitman 2 Collectors Edition & The Crew 2 problem with this two game content, function.

For both games, I have all the available content installed. But this problem is simply. It's not that I miss some installed content. Simply The Crew 2 looks like a standard edition and not like Gold.

And Hitman 2 runs as a prolog and not as Hitman 2 or Hitman 2 Gold editions.
And the developers said the missions from the previous Hitman will be improved, but there are no such missions. So there must be a bug in the game or it will only be available after the first update.

I've tried using Support. I get:

An A.I. that doesn't understand what the problem (even typing something simple like "Hitman 2 DLC missing" made it redirect to this very post);

Told to post here;

The option to use a 24/7 chat with an xbox gamer, who just uses pre-set scripts with unhelpful suggestions, like "uninstall and re-install your profile, power cycle your console" etc.

 

Hello! I'm sorry you are having this issue, on the official Hitman 2 FAQ they explain how to redeem this content and that not every suit is available to transfer from the first game to the second one.

These are the steps to redeem your Legacy DLC on Xbox One:

On Xbox One Digital:

Ensure that you have the HITMAN ‘base game’ installed and downloaded the latest game update for HITMAN, released on November 8th.

Launch HITMAN and follow the prompts in the H1 in-game store to redeem and download your Legacy Pack.

When the Legacy Pack has installed, it will be playable within HITMAN 2 only.

About some suits not appearing in your collection:

Unlocks Transfer aka “What about my suits?”

Items and progression will not be directly carried over from HITMAN into HITMAN 2. However, the majority of items can be unlocked through the HITMAN Legacy Pack. With regards to suits specifically, anyone who redeems or purchases the GOTY Legacy Pack
will have instant access to the 3 GOTY suits in HITMAN 2. Also, the Requiem Pack will be included in all Legacy Pack redemption or purchases.

The patient Zero Campaign is included in your edition of the game:

The HITMAN Legacy Pack includes the following:

Remastered and enhanced versions of the HITMAN Season One locations – Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado and Hokkaido.

Escalation Contracts from HITMAN will be released over time and added to each Legacy Pack location at no additional cost.

The progression system, difficulty levels and gameplay mechanics will be shared between all HITMAN Season One locations and HITMAN 2 locations.

The HITMAN GOTY Legacy Pack includes everything above, plus the following:

Patient Zero campaign, including four missions.

Three GOTY suits – Raven, Clown and Cowboy.

Three GOTY Escalation Contracts.

In addition to this information I would like to recommend:

Giving your console a Reset

Double checking your game DLC, on your games and apps click manage Hitman 2

Reviewing your buying history and confirm that you own the content.

Hi, I have Hitman 2 Collector Edition. Expansion Pack I do not have at all, Expansion Pass I do not have anything at all. We have the same problem. I do not have the mission from the previous work at all. Well, there are plenty of problems when I see that.

 

I will try re-installing the first game and see if that fixes the problem. If it is that I need the first game installed then I'll be trying to contact the developers as this is a flawed way of doing it and a waste of hard drive space. Game sites I have
just found in searches have called the developers out on it as being unnecessary and convoluted.

You'd think that the "Gold Edition" should not have to rely on this such a thing.

I'm with you, the game has a confusing and complicated way to install the DLC, but by looking at the pictures you posted there shouldn't be any problem to access the DLC after you open the first game and follow the prompts that appear

Have you tried power cycling your console by holding in the power button for 10sec to see if it will reset your game data to resync?

 

Success! Took an age to download some of what was needed but the suits appear in mission prep' now, many thanks
