Hitman 2 and Hitman Definitive edition: Legacy content?

Hello! I'm sorry you are having this issue, on the official Hitman 2 FAQ they explain how to redeem this content and that not every suit is available to transfer from the first game to the second one.

These are the steps to redeem your Legacy DLC on Xbox One:

On Xbox One Digital:

Ensure that you have the HITMAN ‘base game’ installed and downloaded the latest game update for HITMAN, released on November 8th.

Launch HITMAN and follow the prompts in the H1 in-game store to redeem and download your Legacy Pack.

When the Legacy Pack has installed, it will be playable within HITMAN 2 only.

About some suits not appearing in your collection:

Unlocks Transfer aka “What about my suits?”

Items and progression will not be directly carried over from HITMAN into HITMAN 2. However, the majority of items can be unlocked through the HITMAN Legacy Pack. With regards to suits specifically, anyone who redeems or purchases the GOTY Legacy Pack
will have instant access to the 3 GOTY suits in HITMAN 2. Also, the Requiem Pack will be included in all Legacy Pack redemption or purchases.

What exactly is included in the HITMAN Legacy Pack?

The HITMAN Legacy Pack includes the following:

Remastered and enhanced versions of the HITMAN Season One locations – Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado and Hokkaido.

Escalation Contracts from HITMAN will be released over time and added to each Legacy Pack location at no additional cost.

The progression system, difficulty levels and gameplay mechanics will be shared between all HITMAN Season One locations and HITMAN 2 locations.

The HITMAN GOTY Legacy Pack includes everything above, plus the following:

Patient Zero campaign, including four missions.

Three GOTY suits – Raven, Clown and Cowboy.

Three GOTY Escalation Contracts.

In addition to this information I would like to recommend:

Giving your console a Reset

Double checking your game DLC, on your games and apps click manage Hitman 2

Reviewing your buying history and confirm that you own the content.

I researched this edition and Hitman 2 Gold Edition doesn't seem to be a pack that's included. It seems that you have to meet certain requirements and then you access the Legacy pack from inside Hitman 1.

Have you confirmed you meet the requirements to install this pack?

The following information is from the Hitman Legacy Pack FAQ:

• Ensure that you have the HITMAN ‘base game’ installed and downloaded the latest game update for HITMAN, released on November 8th 2018.
• Ensure that you have the free “HITMAN 2 – Starter Pack” registered to your account. (You only need to ‘get’ this item, not have it downloaded or installed.)
  • For clarity on the above step, simply installing all of the H2 content doesn’t necessarily meet this requirement. Even if you can see that “HITMAN 2 – Starter Pack” is installed on your console, you still need to ALSO search the store for “HITMAN
    2 – Starter Pack” and ‘get’ it.
• Launch HITMAN and follow the prompts in the H1 in-game store to redeem and download your Legacy Pack.
• When the Legacy Pack has installed, it will be playable within HITMAN 2 only.

It should work, the problem is getting that free prologue from the store.

Lets just got through things one last time

On Xbox One Disc (both Complete First Season and Definitive Edition):

• Ensure that you have all of the content from the disc installed onto your console and downloaded the latest game update for H1, released on November 8th.
• Ensure that you have redeemed and installed the Bonus Episode via the voucher code that was included in the box.
• Ensure that you have the free “HITMAN 2 – Prologue” registered to your account. (You only need to ‘get’ this item, not have it downloaded or installed.)
• Launch H1 and follow the prompts in the H1 in-game store to redeem and download your Legacy Pack.
• When the Legacy Pack has installed, it will be playable within HITMAN 2 only.

I made a couple of things bold in from the FAQ as those may hold the key.

Not owning the disc version I'm not sure if there is an option to install all the additional content from the Hitman disc or if that happens on it's own, you must have all the content from Hitman 1 installed.

Onto the free prologue. as you have already installed Hitman 2 the store will say you already own it but it's not quite true, Hitman 2 installs the prologue but not the free version and this is where I believe things are messing up.

So you have both games installed using your account, you need to then sign into the throw away account you created, download the free prologue using that account. What happens if you stay signed into that account, launch Hitman 1 and go to the in game store,
are you able to download the legacy pack?

If not then switch to your account and launch Hitman 1, can you then download the legacy pack ?

You shouldn't need to uninstall Hitman 1 or Hitman 2 to get this working.
