hit the 100000 milestone !

Been a long time in the making , but I finally hit that 100000 Gamerscore milestone. Not a bragging post but more of a reminiscing post.

I got the 360 on day 1 that they came out..Mall opened at 4am for me to go pick it up. My first 2 games were Kameo , and Condemned , both excellent games that I still have fond memories of.. King Kong would be the first game that I 1000/1000 all the achievements
in, not a huge accomplishment, all it means is I completed the game, but it felt special at the time. I was also one of the first people to crack 1000000 points in geometry wars, which was only impressive for about a week when others figured out how to play..It
was nice seeing my name at the top of the leaderboards for that short stint..The only other time id see my gamertag at the top of any leaderboards was years later when Double Dragon hit XBLA, and I was #1 for just 1 day.

Ive had 3 consoles over the years...My launch day 360 lasted just over a year before it red ringed...Customer service was fantastic and got me a replacement in no time with no cost out of my pocket.. I would later replace it with one that had a bigger HDD
, which would again be replaced later on with one with bigger HDD(and HDMI output)... I would have just upgraded the hard drive, but you know Microsoft - price of the HDD alone was almost the price of a console, so it was just more economical to get a whole
new console. My original TV was a 36 inch , 720p widescreen, which has been upgraded to an 81 inch (1080P), plus I sit a lot closer to it so it seems even bigger..My eyesight had a good run Im old enough to blame it on my age. I even remodeled my entire basement
into a gaming center complete with pool tables, pinball machines, and a homemade arcade machine (that I shared the construction process with on these very forums,as I had it wired up with a 360 at one point)

My top 5 favorite games on the system have been #1 Bayonetta , #2 Dark Souls ,#3 Gears of War , #4 Batman AA , and #5 Viva Pinata. A diverse selection to be sure, which stands a testament to how much I enjoyed last gen (still the current gen for me).. It
has probably been my favorite generation of games, even surpassing the SNES for me, just so soo many great games.. The newest generation of consoles hasn't exactly won me over, and with my huge backlog of games Im not ready to move on just yet.

I just want to share this little trip down memory lane , of my time with the console, and some of you guys (when this was an active forum). I used to be a very active member here, until they decided to "improve" the website.. The only thing I usually see
posted here now is people asking why they were banned. Posts made by girls seem to be popular...Very little discussion going on for anything else..

Anyways, Ive said my bit... If anyone else would care to share some memories of the system life, please join in.. Im not female, but I do have long girly hair if that counts ?

Achievement milestones

I hit a gamerscore milestone yesterday and I was wondering when I'll get emailed my rewards for the milestone

 

When will the Xbox One's be Guaranteed.

they take in 100000 pre orders.. they are making 100000 units... XB will not be sold off the shelf the first 2 weeks... it will hit the retail market most likely on Black Friday.. and us with pre orders will already be 2 weeks into awesomeness

 

Congrats on the milestone. I have a fun memory of playing sticks and stones with my nephew in black ops2. He is of course beating the crap out of me. About thirty seconds left and i am lucky enough to hit him with the combat ax. resetting his score to zero.

It gave me five points. I ran like a scared rabbit.

I beat him five nothing. Not bad for an old guy.

Congrats on the major milestone. I'm slowly creeping closer myself to that 100K score. Like most gamers we never forget our first 1000/1000 game. (Mine was Fight Night) Liked your selections for favourite games as well. Here's to the next 100 K

That's pretty crazy. I usually only play online, but 100,000 is pretty insane.
