  2. This Week in Gaming History

I Almost bought everything in import back in the ps2/xb day, In Australia it wasn't just the name, it was also the censorship. Rather then take a risk with a Rockstar title it was just easier to import. On this topic, My favorite Sega Saturn game was call
Exhumed here in aus, It was called Powerslave in the U.S.. I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and Guess it was called Exhumed in the U.K? Powerslave is also the title of an Iron Maiden album, I have done no research but I'll guess thats it. And Powerslave
has other meanings that are not family orientated.

It's funny because Argon just HAD to mention two games I've never played, so I guess if my description of those games are off, he's proved his point that those names are stupid.

Snake eater? Hahaha, yeah ok, I'll give you that, terrible name.

All good Red, we'll leave the discretion of this thread to you, being the bringer of information!

Talk about stepping into the club and blowing everyone away, lol. Quite a few things to discuss on. You know I have really tried to get into the FF series, but for some reason I just cannot get into the groove with the series.

I bought FF7 international edition around this time in Aman Jordan. Being young I'd already played 5 and 6. It's the story that get's you with ff7.

  6. Haha, great work!

Hitman 2, is that Silent Assassin? I only recently played that (well a year ago or so) and it really didn't hold its own visually, even with the HD, but I have to say I really enjoyed the gameplay. Surprisingly more then absolution.

  7. Yes, it was silent assassin and It was a great game for it's time. Some of these games are difficult to go back to, even on hd remakes. Allot of people are after ffx and ffx 2 remakes on a Microsoft platform, they really aren't that great on the ps3 tbh.

^^ Symphony of the Night - I hated this game in '97. It seemed so dated to be playing a side-scroller on the original Playstation. We were in the middle of the 3D boom at the time and 2D sidescrollers had gotten very stale and unoriginal by the end of the
    SNES/Genesis era.

Fast forward to 2007, I played the game again on XBLA and it became one of my favorites of all time. The game's soundtrack is a masterpiece; along with its art direction and level design. This is one of those games I regretted hitting 100%, as I just wanted
    to keep playing.

To this day, I STILL boot up SOTN once every week or two on XBLA and go around killing high-level enemies near Dracula. It's just fun to level up my Sword Familiar and take in the sights and sounds. Such an amazing game; easily one of Konami's finest.

Mario Kart 64 is a top 5 all time game for me. I would still play it today if I had friends IRL. History on this date in gaming history :)

Golden eye is one of the great FPS shooters. At the time there was nothing even close.

Those were the only two games I played on that system....by that was all I needed.

Bionicles bring back the memories. I loved the toys and even played some of the web games they had back then.

Edit: Thanks for your contribution towards the thread by the way. In the time you complied a list of releases for a day, we would be stumbling around lol.
