High Speed Reported but Actual Download Slow

Discus and support High Speed Reported but Actual Download Slow in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I was wondering if there was anyone else having this problem.     High Speed Reported but Actual Download Slow


    I was wondering if there was anyone else having this problem. I am trying to download game content updates and the download is going EXTREMELY slowly. The odd thing is, when I go to Network Statistics, it shows my speed as being high (60 Mbps) whereas
    the progress bar is moving at something like 10 Mbps, if that. And I can only get it to really update the % by restarting my Xbox.

    Any thoughts?

    PS. It's not the game's servers because I have friends downloading it with no problems at the same time.

    Actually, I have high speed internet. The XB1 network diagnostic says that my download speed is between 7mb/sec and 17mb/sec. I'm worried that my XB1's wifi might be broken. But an Xbox Ambassador (not an actual MS employee) said that the servers are being
    hammered right now. So that might be the reason for the abnormally slow download.

    I just want to see if I'm the only one having this issue. If I am, I may have a busted box.

    Have you heard of anyone else have slow download speeds?

    Download speed doesn't match speed test result

    I ran a speed test on my xbox one and got a download speed of 168 Mb/s (which is close to my subscription). I am trying to download Gears 4 and the actual download speed is hovering between 50 and 60 Mb/s.     I have restarted the console, and tried canceling and re-starting the download, but that has not improved the actual download speed. If I should be getting 168 Mb/s, why is the actual download stuck at 50-60?

    Xbox one download speed is super slow!

    As mentioned above, Try a wired connection to help with the download speeds, If that does not help and you are still experiencing slow download speeds your Internet Service Provider could be throttling your speeds for high bandwidth downloads

    I have an xbox one s and im using an ethernet cable, i pay for 1gig internet and when i do a speed test using the xbox it says i have 600+mbps but when im downloading/updating a game it says its 1mbps and under, ive tried resetting my router and
    doing a factory reset and cleared my mac address and i have no apps or games running.. and nothings worked how can i fix this?

    Have you tried changing your DNS settings to see what different download speeds you can achieve? I also have this issue sometimes. I pay for 1GB of speed and hardly see that cap myself. You could also try using a different speed ethernet cable if you want
    to stay hardwired. Lastly, have you tried disconnecting your ethernet cord and connecting wirelessly to see the speed?
