    High pitched screeching sound when installing something?


    For a couple weeks now, whenever I try to install something, the Xbox One makes a high pitched screeching sound. It only happens when I'm installing something. It doesn't happen while I'm playing a game or watching something. I noticed it when I was installing
    The Division. I do install everything digitally. Has this happened to anyone else. I hope my Xbox isn't dying. Thanks.

    Xbox One February Update - TV Speakers now emit an audible high-pitched whine/static sound

    I'm experiencing this same thing. At first it only occurred in game when a high pitched noise went off and then it would continue screeching long after the match was over. Now there's just a constant high pitched sound that my tv is sending off when I turn
    on the Xbox One. This only started happening after the update for me as well. I've done all those same things and it's still persisting.

    Yeah, that's the sound I'm hearing, except mine only happens when I'm installing something. I don't have any problems while I'm playing a game.

    If you read the Reddit post the cause is a Faulty Coil in your Xbox which can only be fixed if you open the console voiding the warranty and super gluing it to the Motherboard or send it in for repairs and let the engineer's deal with it.

    If you read the Reddit post the cause is a Faulty Coil in your Xbox which can only be fixed if you open the console voiding the warranty and super gluing it to the Motherboard or send it in for repairs and let the engineer's deal with it.

    It's a hard sound to describe it's not quite the crackling like of a camp fire. And its not consistent. It's jittering and occasionally there is a high pitched screech (there's 100% no disc in it) Crackling was the best word I could think of apologise if
