    High Pitched Noise coming from XBox One


    Hello,

    I recently (in the last few weeks) noticed that my XBox One console generates a high pitched noise that seems pretty consistent. I thought maybe it would go away but it hasn't. Sometimes the noise isn't there but more often than not, it is. It doesn't matter
    whether I'm on the Dashboard, or in an App/Game installed on the hard drive, I still hear the noise. It also doesn't seem to matter whether or not I have a disc in the tray as it will make the noise with or without a disc.

    It's not a loud noise but the pitch is just right that I can hear it while I'm trying to play a game or watch some Netflix etc and it's beginning to drive me nuts! I've seen other posts on here regarding noises from people's XBox's so just to be clear... below

    My console never used to make this high-pitched noise until recently and I don't know why it started. Fortunately, I am still within the 1-year warranty period. Also, just to be clear... other than the noise, the console works and performs as it should.
    I have no problems using apps/games, turning it on, etc. But this high-pitched noise is starting to get really annoying!

    Xbox One making strange high pitched noises

    I have an Xbox One that is making strange high pitched (beeping sort of, sounds sort of like a malfunctioning fire alarm) noises during an update. I haven't updated nor used the console in a while... I have heard the "high pitched whirring" noises coming
    from my Xbox but this sounds different. Is it just my Xbox updating or do I have an issue with it?

    Clicking noise?

    I have my Xbox One on Standby but I don't hear the clicking noise. I can only hear a high pitched fan noise coming form the power brick.

    Mine does it as well. Strangely though it's less frequent than it used to be, but it's the fan. Likely the bearing. It's a widespread problem that I think MS should publicly address. It's not affecting my system either but it is annoying. I'd do a warranty
    replacement but I don't want a dinged up refurb that will probably have the same issue.

    Xbox fan noise

    On my second Xbox One at the moment.. The first one made an extremely high-pitched noise that could be heard from across the room. Once I received my replacement from Gamestop, the new console was completely silent ... For the first week and a half. Now
    the new console makes a similar high-pitched noise that can be heard from across the room.. I can put a game case over the One's main vent, and the sound won't be heard at all... But obviously, I don't want to do that and risk overheating. The worst part is..
    the new console even freezes during gameplay. (Not too frequent, however).

    So yeah, my Xbox makes that noise as well, something that shouldn't happen.
