    High Ping on brand new Xbox Series X


    Hello,

    I'm writing this message because I have some issues regarding my internet latency on my Xbox Series X.

    I installed it yesterday (in replacement of my Xbox One) and everything went good except with my internet connection.

    The NAT type was strict so I opened every port to get it open (same port that I used on my Xbox one) but when I'm testing the network quality my ping is insanely high : 600ms.

    On my Xbox One I got around 20ms so i don't understand at all why my latency is so high.

    I tried to change the DNS address with a cloudflare one and the latency decreased but while playing Halo mcc it wasn't stable at all.

    So in Halo settings I looked at ping server and it was -1 (error) or +200ms while on my xbox settings it was at 20ms (with cloudflare DNS).

    I don't really understand what the problem is since every other devices can connect to internet and have very low latency.

    I removed cloudflare address and went back to "automatic dns" : Halo mcc ping didn't change but xbox ping got back to 600ms.

    Do you have any solution to help me ? It's really frustrating to buy the last Xbox and not being able to play online correctly.

    Yeah, there are already 2 brand new consoles the Xbox series X and the Xbox Series S. I think that the new Xbox series X is amazing, but I expect it will be along time before a new console is develpoped.

    I just bought a brand new Xbox One X, but when I go to the store, Flight Simulator and other Xbox Series X/S games say they are "not playable on this device" and I can't get Flight Simulator to install on my brand new Xbox One X because it says it's "not compatible". Very frustrating.
    So you bought an Xbox One X and expected to be able to play an Xbox Series X game on it?

    Why would a game made for an Xbox Series X work on an Xbox One X?

    If you want to play Xbox Series X/S games I would take your brand new Xbox One X back to the store you bought it and see if they will take it back and you could try and buy an Xbox Series S (Series X consoles are very hard to find, but a Series S can be found fairly easilly)

    If the TV or monitor has at least 1 HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface), it will work. That is the only requirement. This applies to all Xbox branded consoles (Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X)
