    High packet loss

Well, it has happened to me now.

Destiny started to behave funny about 2 weeks ago. Network test returned very low upload speed and high packet loss.

A rep from my isp has checked my connection - zero packet loss, upload speed 12mbs.

As I understand there is no clear solution to this problem - I did try portforwarding, low firewall and other solutions. No result - pl at 80%.

Would appreciate some help. Runing my home network through dlink dir815.

    :)

    High packet loss

    One more thing.

I'm running both 360 and One on the same network. 360 works fine - frequent COD play.

    No portforwarding, Dmz; Upnp on.

Are you using wired or wireless?

If using wireless then try changing the wifi channel in the router settings. Wifi interference can cause problems like this and can usually be fixed by changing the channel.

If using wired then try a different Ethernet cable as a faulty Ethernet cable can also cause problems.

    Thank you for your reply.

I'm using Dlink for my main router, wired to Apple station. X1 is on wifi.

I think that all of this is because of the conflict between 1 and 360. I have tried unplugging 360. The result:

    - 1 at 54% packet loss;

    - 360 can't connect to Live at all.

My X1 problems have started since last update, btw. Hard reset of Dlink/X1 is yet to yeld any results. Packet loss down from 80 to 54.

PS4 is connected through the same hotspot:

    -download 9 Mbps

    -upload 10 Mbps.

My xbox360 has stopped connecting to internet, because of ICMP error.

Last time this was due to Live problems, yet nothing is reported on Support/Xbox.

I suspect my part of the world is having Live problems.

    My X11 shows d-12,u-0.12,pl-91%.

What has happened, Xbox, you used to be 100% reliable.

is you Apple station and airport extreme?

Is it running in modem only mode?

Also have you considered factory resetting the router?

It's an extreme. Reseted both it and Dlink.

Nothing. I was hoping, that shuting my x360 connection would help - alas, X1 is unaffected, 360 can't connect. I had a similar problem with 360 about a month ago - there was an unreported problem with MS server. Once they've fixed it - all was fine.

I suspect now could be the same problem.

If you have more than 1 xbox running on the same network you have to use UPnP and not Port Forwarding.

Be sure that you run the latest Firmware for your Router.

If I saw it right the latest Firmware is 2013 ?? If nothing helps you should get a new Router. I would alwayś buy a router where you can also use DD-WRT Firmware. So this way you ALWAYS get updates ans use the newest Features available.

    @Xx ROZILLA Xx

My previous router could use DD-WRT.

I installed that to try and fix multi console support. It totally failed. In fact it totally broke UPnP. So just choosing a router that has DD-WRT support is not a good idea. Best to choose router that has confirmed multi-console support.

Also isn't the airport extreme actually a router?

The OP didn't actually say whether he had it in modem only mode. If its not in modem only mode then connecting another router to it will give you a double NAT which will cause problems.
