High Latency - Xbox One - Florida

Hello, I'm a little perplexed at the moment. I've done all I can to try and rectify this issue, but it seems the problem is not on my end from what I can tell. I've put my X1 in the DMZ for my modem which should eliminate any network problems on my end as
far as latency goes, but it has done nothing to help with the latency.

Centurylink DSL

20Mb DL

2Mb UL

PC Connection Test:

15ms latency

Xbox One Connection Test:

100ms latency

It is becoming difficult to enjoy my online experience when I am facing delay like this, are there any suggestions? Am I connected through a bad Xbox Live server or do my DNS servers need to be changed?

I would appreciate a solution, thank you to any who can assist.

I'm in Florida & I can vouch for higher than usual latency - I think it's simply the service taxing the console via the Cloud.

Are they up and running in Ohio? My latency shouldn't be as high as it is with the X1 testing to Ohio.

Hello, I'm Having the same problem! I have a 90 Mbps Download and a 12 Mbps Upload and a 15ms Latency too. Then I text Xbox One and it is telling me I have a 90ms Latency. I have comcast.

I'm not sure if you already tried this, but whenever you speedtest, or ping, for basic IP connectivity, through your PC machine, then please keep in mind that these tests are based on best ping. This means that when you run the application, it'll send out
a series of ping requests against a series of pre-configured test servers. The attribute for this process is quite simple, "find me a destination with the shortest route" (Round-Trip Time, RTT).

So, if you haven't already, go to your PC machine and run the application you're using to test for basic IP connectivity (pingtest.net etc.). Now, instead of using the applications default settings, change the test server to a server located in Seattle,
WA. This will not give you a 100% accurate test as if you would to ping through your Xbox One, because routing paths between different destinations can be a bit more compliacated. But, it'll give you some bearing, in comparison to pingtests that are based
on best ping.
