High Latency to Xbox Live (Routing Issue on Microsoft’s Network)

To clear out things that all the connection is depending on the route between your ISP and the Xbox servers.

If there is limitation of your ISP or bed routing to your Xbox server that can cause high latency.

you can't do more than escalate the issue to Microsoft. as soon as the routing will be better and there will be enough servers in several point around the world than you'll have lower latency.

if its so critical to you than you can try different ISP, maybe that will goes smoother

its not about your download rate, it is about latency and the ping rate, you can have a 1Gbps connection but if the latency is to high then it will ruin your experience, it could be the route the isp is sending your net traffic to and from the xbox servers which could be causing this issue too.

run traceroute open command prompt and type in tracert xeas.xboxlive.com if you have more that 10-12 locations and you are seeing a high ping, this is what the cause of your lag could be. Also, you can see were the information is being
sent from your network before it gets to the microsoft xbox live servers, you will see your network, then you will see abrriviations for citys and states that your information is being routed through before it gets to the MS servers. this can be handy to figure
out if you are having and ISP issue.

Also, if you notice it is being routed all over the place, contact your ISP and notify them that you are havign routing issues on your network I.E you live in say arizona, your information is being routed from AZ, to idaho, to virginia, then back acrossed
the country to microsofts servers= high ping and lag. Hope this helps.

having a descent router for the original xbox one is pretty pointless as xbox live has high latency as it is and the xbox is not the best for network connections, you won't see no difference between a standard router and a high grade gaming one.

hey guys i have the same issue my download is always 124mbps download and 11.44 upload on xbox one my latency however is on 156 which is lowest upto 200 the is nothing wrong with my setup i have nighthawk r7000 router . my main issue is delay......on all
games always that slight second behin getting round corners and dropping?? shooting peope irst and getting dropped this is not your connection when i actually started looking austrailia europe uk all the same high latency and we all know optimal gaming is

products i have 4 of the bricks . anyway back to the point lol speedtest on sppedtest.net and ping it to seattle and i bet like mine the readings are the same my ping /latency was 160ms lol my xboxone pings 156-159 most of the time so...... xbox stop being
cheapskates and all gamers matter not just US POPULATION we pay just if not more for all the shipping costs too ........... please fix this and get servers in uk and if not uk atleast europe!!! why thankyou for this awful service
