  1. High Latency on Xbox One

Hey guys, so over the past few days my latency on my one has been terrible. It goes up and down from 9ms all the way to 2500ms. I have comcast high speed internet and my latency on my computer is less than 20 every time I check. I have an open nat on my
one and I also have all the ports forwarded and have it set up in the DMZ area of my modem settings. Its making games unplayable and I'm hoping someone here has a suggestion.

    Thanks

    :)

    High Latency on xbox one

i get 76mb download and nearly 20 upload. When Xbox did an update about three days ago my latency when through the roof to 250. its a joke and since then when i play multiplayer its completely lagging. Why is this? is it a case of discrimination against
non Americans, because all the servers seem to be other there and we are paying just as much for the service in the UK where i am and the rest of Europe but yet we seem to always have issues. If Microsoft don't sort this out people will start to do law suits
against the company as we are paying for a product what barely works. they get billions of pounds each year and we should expect a minimum standard of service. Im not happy with this at all and it needs sorting otherwise il be selling all my Xbox equipment
and head over to PlayStation. This connection is taking me back to my Atari gaming...sort it out Xbox else youl be losing loyal customers.....

I suggest that you do a hardware reset of your sagemcom 4320. Press and hold the REG button for at least 15 seconds. This will restore your gateway back to factory configuration/settings.

Note! Before you restore your gateway to factory settings, if you have to use a username and password, to authenticate connectivity to your ISP and to the Internet-at-large, you have to know the username and password for this process.

Power your gateway off for a couple of minutes and then power it back on again.

Reconfigure wireless settings, such as your wireless network name (SSID), security method (WPA2-PSK with AES encryption), and set a passphrase/password for your wireless network. Also make sure UPnP is turned on.

I would also suggest that you check all the wiring, from and to, your gateway.

Let me know how that goes.

I've been noticing that the speeds from the servers is very slow as well. my router consistently puts out 96 Mbps where I live, and this is mainly due to heavy interference and old cables outside the building. but microsofts servers? only putting out about
30 to 50 Mbps on a good day. I haven't gotten above that in over a week

"Certified" latency, that is, what is needed to run a game correctly via XBOX, by their own words, is supposed to be at 150 milliseconds or lower.

    High Latency on xbox one

@TheHENCHMAN - When you measure your speed, between two endpoints (you as a client, against a well-known host machine), using your PC, by default, these tests are based on best ping.

Now, when you do a smilier test, using your Xbox One, the DL/UL speed along with IP connectivity test (ping), to measure the round trip time (RTT) of data, sent from one endpoint to another and then back again, is tested against a host located in Seattle,
    WA (US).

Do you understand what I'm trying to explain here?
