is this normal?? shouldnt i have way lower latency thant his?

im from El Salvador btw, i usually have better ping in other games depending on the server host, all from US related ones.

also sometimes it goes higher.

If you are far away from servers then yes. But if you say that it was better before, talk to your ISP.

for a quick tip, have a look at your DNS Setup for the console as well.

Although the google servers are popular (8.8.8.8) you may be better changing to something like the Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1 which is also really fast, but not as busy

this will also help with you resolving the DNS name to XBOX a bit faster, potentially reducing that number

If the servers you connect to are far apart, latency will always be high.
Also I recommend u opening the ports on your modem to get open nat

Is the console connected to the router with an ethernet cable or are you using the same WiFi connection? For optimal performance and stable connection, the use of an ethernet cable is recommended.

i have my pc on ethernet cable, so not wifi related.

i have set a dns on my connection as well.

i dont know how to open ports and which to open and what number to set on either so unless you could tell me how?

also i dont think i said it has been better on the latency side, all i said that in other games in which i can see the ping related side seems rather lower than this and they are from US servers.
