High Latency issues with xbox live

Hello,

As mentioned in other posts, I am having serious latency issues from 8PM- around 1AM. Interestingly, everything runs fine during the day. Also, I can generally get a decent connection during the time frame mentioned but I have to play alone(no party) and
it has to be "Core Team Deathmatch). Still it will go in an out depending on the lobby. I have been having the issue since 9/29. I have spent extensive time with my ISP and xbox live tech support to no avail. Even had a conference call with all three parties.
I have fiber optic connection at 30mbps download and 5mbps upload. This needs to be fixed or I am switching to PSN. I have workd to fix this for around 3wks and nothing.

High Latency Issues

This post belongs in the Early Access forums.

However, the current workaround for this issue is to go to Settings>Preferences and toggle the PlayTo setting. That should get you back to normal speeds.

If you use Energy Saving mode (rather than Instant On/Connected Standby) you will need to do this each time you boot your console until the issue is fixed.

 

High latency issues

Hello,

I am experiencing high latency as well. My latency was consistently 86 ms and now it is consistently 173ms. I am on a wired cat6 connection. >105 Mbps up and > 20 Mbps down. Reserved IP Address

.Port forwarded. My NAT type is open. I live in Virginia and have Comcast internet. I am using a cisco XB3 3939 Gateway router. Can Anyone tell me how to find out what server my xbox one is trying to connect to and anyway to reduce my latency? . thanks

Just to gather a bit of information, can you please clarify who your ISP is? Thank you!

 

My ISP is Wabash Mutual Telephone. Smaller and more local. They use another company referred to as transport or something. I think that company's name is Inditel. Something like this if not exactly right. I can find the exact name if needed.

Interestingly, last night I did not have any major issues. Not sure if there was less traffic on xbox live or not. This is the first time in three weeks the latency has not shot up during 8PM-12AM during the week.

 

Unfortunately, the issue is still present. Last night must have been a gift.

Latency is back over 350ms.....This is old...been to long.....Fix it!

Is it possible to try your Xbox One console out on a different network to see if the results are similar? This will help us out a lot. In the meantime, I would continue working with your ISP with these results you have provided to us.

 

No it is not possible. I am not working further with my ISP! They have tried everything they can. The issue is with your server! My connection works fine with every other device. There was not an issue until your update on September 28th/29th. I have had
this ISP for many months with no issues until then. You fix it! I am sick and tired of xbox live support pushing me off on to my ISP. If you are certain it is my ISP then why don't you help me by contacting them instead of pushing it on me. I have tried and
they have done test that suggest it is on your end. Keeping pushing the issue off on others and you are going to lose customers!

 

Okay, I spoke to and IT guy last night. He actually took the time to explain the likely issue is with the intermediate my ISP uses to provide internet service. This makes more sense why I feel I am constantly being pushed off to the other party. It would
be nice for someone with someone to actually help me by contacting Level 3 Communications on my behalf since the issue appears to be with my ISP's intermediate's server connecting with Microsoft's server. I called Level 3 Communications last night to express
the issue but, I was told I needed to have my ISP contact them because I am not a customer of theirs. I will try again with me ISP. It is sad that I pay money for services and I feel that none of these companies really care about my problem. I bet they would
if their system was messed up.

I am not sure what you mean by this question? How do I know the difference? I did change the color of the dashboard.

XBOX LIVE SUPPORT,

Is there anything new with these latency issues? I continue to have problems from 7:30PM to shortly after midnight during the week and weekends. I also had problems during the daytime hours over this past weekend.
